How is the DS still selling like
that, everyone has one already, how is this possible.
Maybe cause there are people that have more than one!
...not me...
I'm just sayin'...
...Oooo... pretty, pretty Metallic Rose...
...it's METALLIC and PINK...!
The thing we have to remember is that kids are being born everyday, and everyday they turn 4-5 and get a DS. How many kids are born in the US and Japan everyday?
Lets see divide 3.1 million into 31 days, exactly 100k kids a day in the US. (oops it was 3.3 million, you do the math)
^Well, there you go. I think that's the key, plus old DS's getting broken, de-calibrated etc... And that's why Mario Kart DS and NMSB keeps selling, when those newborns get old enough to get a DS they also need some games or it.
I hate the shitty tiny amount of software sales we get. You cannot tell me that in a month where the Wii sells 5 billion zillion units that the software for all wii games aren't inflated. I bet Wii game sales even for all those bitching complaining 3rd parties did well.
I'd really be interested in seeing the top 40 or 50 sales for the month. If there are that many consoles out there people have to be buying something - especially around xmas. There's probably a few third party games that are selling ok, just not in the top 10.
1. New Super Mario Bros. Wii (2.84 million units sold)
2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2.75 million)
3. Wii Fit Plus (2.4 million)
4. Wii Sports Resort (1.8 million)
5. Madden NFL 10 (1.5 million)
6. Assassin's Creed II (1.2 million)
7. Mario and Sonic at the Olympics (1 million)
8. Wii Play (1 million)
9. Mario Kart (936,730)
10. Left 4 Dead 2 (728,491)

7. Mario and Sonic at the Olympics (1 million)
8. Wii Play (1 million)
9. Mario Kart (936,730)
10. Left 4 Dead 2 (728,491)
I still don't comprehend these numbers. It's incredible.
I'm just glad to see New Super Mario Bros. Wii being #1 instead of the Wii-______ games.
But those numbers are pretty insane. When the PS3 price drop hit, I did believe it would dominate the holidays. But once the Wii dropped its price, I knew this would happen.
I'm actually more surprised about Japan's hardware sales. I really thought the PS3 would dominate and destroy the Wii sales because of FFXIII but that's not happening. That was a bigger surprise.

That would have happened if Dragon Quest had launched on the PS3 rather than the DS.

Of course!
But FFXIII and PS3 sales' drop off was so fast, only after one week! I thought it would at least last a month.
Maybe a month would be too long, but at least longer than a week.
Question for anyone, but I know that GG already knows of a source. I'm looking for a site that has a bunch of videogame music on it. Can anyone refer a good site for me?
Someone on gamespot years ago mentioned some site galled galbadia hotel.

Woah. The PS3 and 360 are practically neck and neck for December sales with the Wii almost outselling each of them 3-to-1.
Very impressive sales for NSMB Wii which reminds me I need to get myself a copy of very soon. Awesome to see Modern Warfare 2 still selling so strong, totally fantastic game. Great to see Assassin's Creed 2 and Left 4 Dead 2 also selling nicely. Crazy to see Mario Kart Wii keep popping into the top ten like this still.
Crazy or sad?
Those Wii sales though, how are they so much higher than 08 when generally sales have been flagging worldwide all year? Maybe the recession affected the poorest i.e people most likely to buy the cheapest console? Then at Christmas they thought f*** it and splurged for the holidays?

Look at the increase on Nintendo products. How is the DS still selling like that, everyone has one already, how is this possible.Ouch poor PSP...
My god the Wii is around 30 million sold in the US alone.
Forgetting about numbers, just seeing a home console outsell a wildy popular handheld, is crazy to me. I was looking at the graph, wii sales were first, looking at green bars, peripheral vision saw the one next to it was similar eh, then my eyes scrolled down and saw it was for the DS. Whoa.

I bet Wii game sales even for all those bitching complaining 3rd parties did well. Imagine if they actually tried to make a big game for the wii. How the hell can a console that will beat the PS2 sales and go on to be the most successful console of ALL TIME have so many companies be pissed at it. The market is there, go get it you morons.
You think Nintendo just makes random shit games and they sell. No, they built a trust with all those 40 million Wii owners, people trust the Nintendo name cause they don't make shit games. If these companies would actually make games that people would want to play they will sell. If Epic Mickey is good, I bet it will sell very very well. Yes I know it has a major license but what is the last million selling Mickey game, exactly. It is a good concept, it has appeal to many people, and odds are it will be a good game. It will sell. When a company puts out damn light gun games and expects it to sell millions well the company is the moron.
As a businessman wouldn't you be looking at the sales and just saying to people around you, hey come on, there is a huge market there, why aren't we just going for it? Do it properly. At least try it?
And then someone in the corner holds his hand up and says "Light gun game?"
Then the internet gives itself a collective facepalm so hard Bugs feels it and crashes his car.
But I dont think Epic Mickey will be triple A.

That was me. There was this site called galbadia hotel ffshrine or something which had copious soundtracks on mp3. i used it for stuff like killer7 etc. the annoying thing was that you had to download each track individually so it was a pain if you wanted a whole soundtrack
