I can't decide! I CAN'T DECIDE!! I CAN'T DECIDE!!!
The download is unique; something you don't need Punch-Out to download, and is completely one-of-a-kind, you-can't-get-this-anywhere-else COOL --BUT-- it's ALSO digital... You don't really get anything at all --AND-- if you lose your Wii, you lose IT.
I could never see myself making any use of the hat at all... but it's also cool. It's a REAL, PHYSICAL thing...
I. CAN'T. DECIDE!
In your case go for the game. There will always be more Mario Hats. You can get one on eBay right now. The download may never be offered anywhere again (unless of course Nintendo puts it on the VC for $5).
Now, I REALLY CAN'T DECIDE ! ! !
Perhaps watching a few episodes of this will help: http://therewillbebrawl.com/episodes.php
Or just get the hat, and hope that you can get the vs. Doc mode later on the VC.
Do you have to pick one of these things that Nintendo is offering? I thought there were more prizes and you could collect more points for better/different ones.
There's only three prizes: two for Platinum, and one for Gold members, but you can only pick one prize out of those three. These prizes don't cost any Club Points; they're all free. Also, you have to choose a prize before August 11, 2009 or you may miss out.
These are just the annual bonuses for Gold and Plat members, you can still use your gold coins for the other rewards (Like the Game and Watch collection or the Hanafuda cards).
This is actually pretty cool. There's no audience. Just an empty gym. Nice touch. Hopefully it'll come out as a downloadable feature at some point.
Do they play Eye of the Tiger during the match?
You either get a bitchin' hat or a chance to finally get revenge on Doc for all the times he's been stealing Mac's bike.
Either way, it's a cool deal.
Though I'm more pissed Nintendo AU haven't even fucking bothered updating their Club Nintendo stuff. Typical Nintendo...
Not only that, look at Doc's mean stare. Bet all those candy bars have given him superhuman strenght. He looks like he still packs a hell of a punch.
Bah, when it rains it pours, man.
I'm updating now, you wont believe how tough it is given I have no backlight in my laptop monitor.

Wii Sports reviews:
Eurogamer:
"Skydiving in Wii Sports Resort captures just about everything that fans of its developer often struggle to put into words, and crams it all into the same period of time it takes to wash your hair. I guess you could call it the Nintendo Effect. Right there, in that simple, two-minute plummet is the whole deal: a control system so simple that most designers would either ignore it or over-complicate it with gauges and triggers, a range of goals that scale from charming pushovers to genuine one-more-go struggles with no apparent signs of stress, and presentation that manages to be both modest and quietly brilliant at the same time."
7/10
IGN:
"Good news then, because Wii Sports Resort is a hugely expanded, endlessly more entertaining game all round."
"While the usual group of miserable Wii owners will blithely dismiss Wii Sports Resort as 'just another mini-game' collection', the rest of us can rejoice in a game that delivers entertainment in massive, unbridled waves. It’s true that Resort doesn’t quite strike the balance between single-player and party appeal, but its compulsive score-based structure is a significant step up from its predecessor. Soloists mightn't be captivated by Resort’s slightly uneven game line-up for hours at a time but multiplayer is a different story entirely. Yes, control issues mar some activities but most offer a ridiculous amount of finely-honed, uncomplicated fun. Wii Sports Resort might lack the kind of revelatory innovative oomph that accompanied its forebear's debut but it's still a thoroughly charmingly masterclass in entertaining, accessible game design. It not quite a five star retreat but that doesn't mean we won't be perfectly happy on Wahu Island this summer."

Looks fun, like a dark rayman-esque platformer.
What was dark about that? >_>
