Looks like IGN finally has Mario Galaxy 2 Trailer working. Looks fantastic in HQ.
I don't have a PS3 and will not likely get one so this information is not relevant to my interests. . . aside from mocking Sony with it.

That Wii Vitality Sensor has to be the dumbest perpherial/idea shown at E3 so far. I stick my finger into it, and it tells me how nervous I am? WTF?

Are you kidding? This is genius!! Think about being able to play a game like Let's Tap and controlling it by your pulse!!!!
The one and only practical gaming use for this would be for a good horror game. If the game could measure your pulse to see how scared you're getting, I think a creative developer could come up with some neat ideas. But really, I don't think that's the innovation that the gaming world is waiting for.
One of the neat little features that I liked was the hidden pipes:
I know you can't see it here, but in the presentation there was a hidden room with a warp pipe next to where the Yellow Toad is that became viewable as he walked to the left. To me that's just going to be cool. It adds a neat little sense of exploration to the game that the 2-D games rarely have.
Yeah, that was really cool. Hopefully, there'll be a tons of hidden secrets in the game.

I can honestly say that I'm excited by this game. It'll be fun playing through it both as a single player game, and co-op with my sister. My sister prefers 2D Super Mario games, so I know she'll love this game too.
Check out the Para Goomba's in the background! The game is looking even more like the 2D Mario's than Galaxy even! And no mention of stars, maybe the SMW map will return?

It looks like it'll be a 2.5D action-focused game. I do hope it has some the classic Metroid exploration, but that trailer doesn't show that.
