The Conduit is shaping up fine. It won't be anything earth-shattering, but it'll be a very competent game with a robust roster of features. The fact that it lacks any direct competition in the platform makes all reviewers spray their shorts when they should actually be saying "well, it's about fucking time we got something like this".

 I dont think so, if you read the NPower review they sound quite tempered about the whole thing. It's no Half life etc. 

There are a raft of shooters on systems other than Wii that can easily come under that "Not Halo, not Half Life" label though. I'm not sure either way if the Conduit should come under that comparison. But then I dont want it lauded because of the lack of competition on the system either. I want to see fair reviews that judge the game based on what it is. Not what it isn't and not some charity award either. 

I expected a few 8.5s which will show its decent quality and then, because I like IR I may try it. But not for a while I think.
