New PS3 bundle
Update: It seems Sony will launch a new two-game PS3 bundle, packing Resistance: FoM and Motorstorm with an 80GB console apparently for the same $399 price. Not a price drop, but it's something. This photo of the box at retailer Target appears to confirm it. Update ends.
what are the differences between the Wii and DS version (other than the obvious ones)?

Listen to Wu-Tang and watch Kung-Fu
I'm not too sure, I think voice acting definetely. And I think the Wii one has new animated cutscene character scenes above the main characters when they speak. I think the DS has static imagery there. Not sure though.
It seems that Sony can't afford to drop the price of the PS3, so they instead opt to pack in old games that probably aren't selling well anymore. It's not a bad deal, but the only game that would make me want a PS3 is Gran Turismo 5 (full version), and that isn't coming out any time soon.

That's a joke, right?
This is pretty much what they did with their last "price drop." They kept the prices the same but added more value with bigger hard drives and game bundles. That's fine and dandy I suppose, but if you can't afford $400 it still doesn't really change anything.
And for the record I'm not getting one unless they bring back full BC functionality.
Troll
I agree with you on the price. $400 console in today's economy is not good.
As far as the lack of BC, it doesn't bother me since I don't own any PS2 games. I can understand why others would want it, though, and it sucks that Sony removed it.
IGN UK Broken Sword review
Closing Comments
Ultimately, there’s a sense that Broken Sword: The Director’s Cut can’t quite reconcile its attempts to incorporate updated gaming sensibilities with its need to maintain the sort of respectful reverence demanded by fans. The result is a game that flounders unevenly between both extremes and never quite gels as an overall experience. However, for all its inconsistencies, Broken Sword is still an undoubted masterclass in videogame storytelling. As its conspiratorial mysteries start spiralling together, it's tough to resist the game's sense of high adventure and gaudy charms. Submit to its refreshingly un-condescending whims and it’s easy to get swept away by an experience that still retains its power to surprise and entertain today. It’s smart, cerebral and delightfully infectious – not bad for a 13-year-old game, eh?

The lack of BC is a huge pain for me. My PS2 died a while back. In truth there's only about half a dozen games that I'd like to continue playing, but I do find myself in an awkward position. Drop $100 to keep playing those games or wait and see if I can just kill 2 birds with one stone?
You know I smell another "press release" coming out.

Oh and updates are done
Fuck reviews and review scores. I'm picking this game up still expecting a badass experience.
One of the site's forefathers.
It's Broken Sword. They could make it into a txt adventure game and it would still be good.
Animal Crossing: a Pedo Paradise
WTF? What an idiot.
Crap. I guess I'll have to stay away from AC from now on. Thanks, Andy Anderson! Where would I be without your insight?
