Oh I gave up on Dead Space BTW. Thought I would complete it so I popped it in, played 25 minutes more, same space corridors this thing stuck on my face and I was pounding the A button to get rid of it and realised that I'd had enough. It doesn't have the variety, character or pacing of RE4 to motivate me to keep going.
So I thought I would get on with the Darkness instead before I start Gears of war 2. The map in the Darkness is f-ing useless. What is the point of a map which doesn't show you where you are? One which is labelled poorly, where you cant zoom in even!
I spent 40 minutes wandering around the docks when I wasn't even suppossed to be in the docks! How am I suppossed to find an alley when the whole environment looks the same and you cant even vaguely point me towards the goal? And you know when you have a game that has a lot of doors and you can only move through SOME? Only there is no indication which is which?
Oh God. All this next gen sheen and you can't even give me a decent map? Argh! Oh and your walkspeed is so slow, so it was no fun at all.
Sorry to hear you gave up on Dead Space GG. I think it's a fantastic game. Oh well.
It's a good game. I just have a low tolerance and short attention span. I haven't touched Okami in 2 months? Or more? And then you have other games and it comes to a point where you feel that you just aren't bothered anymore.
That's why a game has to have great pacing to make you want to keep on playing.
Wow they showed Killzone 2 at a Dutch talkshow "Pauw & Witteman. They talked about the marketing, size of the industry. Herman Hulst was talking there. They were mostly mature and not games ruin the youth kinda thing. But another guest was not as nice, quite amusing!

Ha, awesome.
Forgot for a moment there that Guerilla were a Dutch developer. That's kinda awesome.

Well at least I have a shotgun now.
Seriously. The walking around looking for something absolutely ruined the pacing for me most of the time. Luckily when the action started it was still intesnse, but jesus...
What did you tihnk of the WWII section? One thing I liked about it was that it was actually a lot easier to find your way around haha. But that area when you had to find the crucifix thing to talk to...ugh. Still at least there was stuff to shoot at while you were looking.

I haven't got there yet. Just backtracked got past the helicopter. It's terrible wandering about just looking for the waypoint.

Wow that was quick, slow news day
Capcom sucks.
You know why!
Oh yeah I got HOTD Overkill and read that RE5 is 7 hrs long. *goes to put story in thread*
Somehow Vader will make that go for 70hrs, and will consider it the greatest game ever.

By fitting his penis through the hole in the disc?
Kidding. But that story is worrying. 7hrs? RE4 took me 14 first time through.
EDIT:
I just remembered I was moderated on gamespot once for making that joke about an Xbox fan, can't remember who. Flashback.

Speaking of MJ, did anyone here check out his auction catalogue for his arcade games?
Holy shit MJ has some taste.
