Well said Bugs.
Punk, so we should never advance hardware ever... we had two Zelda games on the same hardware, I want to see what their vision would be went they could create stunning worlds unlike anything we have seen.
Watch Legend of Neil again Vader! BTW, we had zero Zelda's on the Wii. TP is a Gamecube port. You are jumping the gun a bit, we have not seen what Zelda can do with Wii-motionplus!
1-1 sword motion sounds tiring for a 50+ hr game.
When did I say that? Also Zelda has never, ever been about immersive worlds. It's been about adventuring through the unknown planes, to find hidden dungeons and get the treasure. There is no unknown vision for Zelda, the vision was perfected with the Gamecube as even Twlight Princess didn't even come close to pushing the system outside of a graphical standpoint. Small planes, uneventful cities with few crowds, A.I. inferior to the N64 games, little to no use of physics or destrucatble enviornments. Play Final Fantasy XII and Half-Life 2 and tell me that Nintendo couldn't have pushed much more in those departments if they wanted those things.

Play fighting games!
Not if you increase the sensitivity, and it would not be 1-1, just an illusion of it. True 1-1 will mean that must people would get slaughtered because they technique is not up to par.
Zelda TP was not tiring either
What do you mean an "illusion" of it?
Analog movement, so you can slash from left to right, up to down, and any direction in between. But not true one-one, so you do not need to provide the power and the exact direction. If you make a shaky sword swipe the wii-mote will just make it a straight line.
So in other words, if you slice from left to right, link will do the same. He will do the sword strike at full power, even if you do not. He will make a crisp slice even if your hands are shaky.
There are many gameplay possibilities that open with it, if Nintendo chooses to go this direction.
So it's just a more accurate and faster version of the waggle we have now? Like in Red Steel, you could do all of those sword swipes just like you said, but it wasn't terribly accurate and the sword animation wouldn't occur until after you've completed the motion?
I have not played Red Steel, but it would be a bit different because Link blocks with his shield and not with his sword, so you won't use waggle to block. And if you increase the sensitivity, you only need to make a short movement to initialize the animation. There was a demo about Wiimotion plus that showed how fast it was.
I am thinking of a slower and more methodical pace, than mindless waggling. So you will need to be accurate to not hit your opponent in their cover. If you fail, you hit your opponent in their shield.
Well, Red Steel doesn't exactly have mindless waggling; its sword fighting is much more sophisticated than TPs. For instance, you can swing the Wii remote horizonally from left-to-right, and the sword on-screen would make that same horizontal swing. But if you swung the Wii Remote from right-to-left, the game would do that reverse motion as well. You could do up-to-down, down-to-up, and any diagonal motion as well. It sounds to me from your description that Wii Motion Plus will continue that style of gameplay rather than have true 1:1, but improve its speed and accuracy.
Here's a video of a Red Steel sword fight. Every swing of the sword in that video is done with a similar swing of the Wii Remote.
I was specifically talking about Zelda, with wii-motion plus you could have 1-1 motion, but I think it is not necassary for Zelda. Bushido Blade is another story however (Square are you reading this, make Wii version NOW!)
Yeah, I was talking about Zelda too. Wii Motion Plus can enable true 1:1 motions, but from your earlier description of the possible fighting mechanics for the next Zelda sounded more like an improved Red Steel sword fighting style which is why I chose that example. I really never gave much thought as to how difficult true 1:1 motion would be in a 3D sword fighting game. I'd be quite happy if the Zelda game used an improved sword fighting style similar to that of Red Steel's.

I should preface this. I noticed Leo playing, and I offered him an invite. He accepted, and we had around five or so matches. I lost the first one, but the next four? Kicked his ass.
I was going to go for five, but then he went offline.
