Shenmue's graphics are VERY over-rated. Looks like an average PS2 game with a highly controlled art style at best. And Shenmue never got finished as it was the biggest financial hole of a game in history.

Resident Evil 5 was looking to be crap with me once I saw this picture.

I mean it was at this point where I realized that the series is being greatly altered for the current trends in gaming. What made Resident Evil 4 so great besides the awesome pacing was that it was so fresh because it played like nothing else out there. But when I saw these pics and at E3 say Capcom going on about co-op focused gameplay it was as if I knew the game would go sour.

And yeah I quit with Gamespot after their terrible Nintendo game reviews. My God at the Twlight Princess and Prime 3 reviews.

It seems Capcom likes to cut corners with their 3D models with animation as they like to cut corner with sprites by reusing them (Apollo Justice anyone). Seriously this generation nearly all developers have cut corners in their visuals. The one thing that I loved in MGS4 is how well done the animation was throughout the game, it was near movie quality. But reusing animation and I assume having the same quality of animation from the previous generation is just fucking absurd, regardless of how advanced the game was for its time.

It isn't true. I checked VGChartz, and this sales number was only for the first 10 weeks in Japan-only. North America and the rest of the world's sales were not included in that number

Not much else you can use as companies like to hide their sales. Only Global Chart track is better now and its just recentely established. Not sure if it has cumilative sales.  Yeah, I know vgchartz isn't that reliable. As for RE5 I find it so strange that the animation is so close considering the effort they went to beefing up the graphics.

Game looks pretty great, both versions.

I wish I could buy both. Wii version is a sequel and obviously multiformat is sequel. Check the trailers for both too.

VGchartz pretty much makes up their numbers. It would be the same as us just speculating. The only time they get their numbers right is when companies announce their games LTD's then VGchartz records them (and even then they are often inaccurate) besides those few times their numbers are BS.

From what I've seen they attempt to add together numbers from NPD, Media Create and Chart Track as well as associated company information when released. Which is what GFK are now doing (a lot more accurately though. ) There isn't a solid 100% way of tracking global sales unless the actual company announces individual game sales, so what else can you do?
