LOL
I've been playing Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. It's a good game but damn is it ever lacking in the visuals department. I know the Wii isn't a powerhouse machine but surely it can do better then this. Also it seems harder then Path of Radiance which can be a bit frustrating at times in a game like this because when a member dies in battle they're gone forever.
It's got nothing to do with the Wii's horsepower.
Radiant Dawn is a GC game that was released on Wii instead, it doesn't even have pointer controls. If you play Path of Radiance on an HDTV you will see the same horrible looking visuals too. I'm not sure the games even run in 480p so playing on an SDTV is essential with the FE games from what I have seen. So this game is harder eh? I hear there is a mid-way save point? What mode are you playing on? Normal? After reading about the games difficulty I may start on easy.
Hahaha, that guys face is FAIL.
Man, that Tomb Raider article just makes me mad. Eidos are fucking stupid. 1.5 million is a disappointment? Many incredible games don't even sell half that many.
Its like they foolishly think TR is as a brand, on the level of Halo and GTA, and expect it to sell 5 million+ every time out. Now they're punishing CDynamics for, not the quality of the games which is great and they did a remarkable job making TR relevent again, but the SALES....the popularity, which they have no control over.
True adventure games like TR are not the flavor of the day anymore. It doesn't matter how good TR is; as long as TR remains TR, it will never sell to anyone other than true fans, or come close to matching its popularity back in the PS1 era.
So what is Eidos going to FORCE CDynamics to do? Probably turn it into an action game. With a lot of Tude. That's what kills me too...Eidos really have nothing to do with the franchise, they just own and publish it. Yet they try to tell the developers what to do with it. Unreal. They are one of the worst publishers in gaming.
Cool, it can be like Prince of Persia 2, Lara can call everyone a bastard to heavy metal music. Then she can pull out a Gears of War Chainsaw and hack some dude to death. And her boobies will grow in size of course.
WTF. Legal to "smoke" (only produces odorless water vapour) anywhere, most of the negative effects of tobacco are gone as it's just pure nicotine. Costs the equivalent of $1 a pack. This is sure to piss off millions of people in the future once it goes mainstream. lol. So yeah basically it's an ultra-portable bong specialized to only take a certain type of cartridge. Another "why didn't I think of that" invention.
Technically it doesn't have tobacco so I'm pretty sure there would be no age restriction, it's in the same class as caffinated beverages now.
Win
That's begging for a photoshop but I'm too lazy right now.
GG you must take part in the next podcast. Homer is really looking forward to it, you just can't break his heart, can you?
Bugsy the same applies to you, we can finally show that Euro VGPress >>> American and Canadian VGPRess!!
Yeah I know it's not because of the Wii's horsepower that's why I said I'm sure it could do better then this. Hearing that it's a Gamecube game just slapped onto the Wii doesn't surprise me at all since that's exactly what I figured it was. I'm playing on Normal and you can save during battles which helps alot. I don't know if it's just me or not but it does feel abit tougher then PoR. There are some stages that utilize a "fog of war" feature so you can't see enemy units. I don't recall them being in PoR but I know that I don't much care for them here.
You dont want to suck on the faces of baby kittens though right?
I'll start looking for a headset but no promises, don't think I can make the next one.
Yeah Super Paper Mario and Radiant Dawn were suppossed to be for GC but were arriving so late in the dev cycle that it wasn't worth them putting it out on cube. They were both shifted to Wii quietly. Radiant Dawn is running off the Path of Radiance GC engine, no improvements for Wii at all, any game that runs in interlaced 480i mode will look doubly worse on an HDTV and Path of Radiance wasn't a looker even on GC. It was released fairly early on in Japan, just a couple of months after release. I hear that it is harder so I would start on easy mode as I don't like getting frustrated with games. I would ask how well it is following up the POR story but I want to see it firsthand for myself.
All the FE games I have played so far, the two gba games and Path of Radiance have had either fog missions or darkness missions. It's easier in FE than advance wars dealing with it. Do you have torches or a magician that can cast light spells from a distance? You can use it to your advantage too, just hide guys in forests.
I must have just forgotten those fog or darkness missions from PoR. Yeah there are torches you can use and there are also some larger torches placed around the map that you can light up when you position a character next to them.
