Muy caliente!
Where is everybody? It feels lonely in here, just me, GG and my balls.
So... it's been a pretty boring couple of days news wise. What are you guys going to play at the weekend?
DeBlob, Bioshock, I'll track down a copy of Vesperia (damn game keeps avoiding me) or Dead Space, and I'll probably buy The Sims 2 and a couple expansions and watch my wife and daughter become addicted, in a WoW fashion.
Huh, I see a couple of your guys interested in Dead Space. It always looked like RE4 set on the Event Horizon ship and seemed sort of uninteresting to me. I would rather just play RE4. What excites everyone so much about it?
Do we get to see the main characters face at all? Under the welders hat?
Early impressions appear to imply that the game is way creepier and more atmospheric than RE4. Visuals and audio seem to be top notch, though it remains to be seen if Dead Space can mimic the outstanding level design that RE4 has.
Yeah Dead Space looks and sounds really freakin' awesome. I really like the whole trapped on a spaceship sci-fi theme. I can't wait to get this game. I'm hoping to pick it up next week sometime.
WHAT THE FUCK!!!! FUCKING COCK SHIT MOTHER ASS FUCK DICK FART SHIT!!!!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CRAP!!
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU DELAY YOUR BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR, HOW DO YOU FUCKING SCREW THIS UP!!!
OMG I can't believe this (BTW look above for the answer).
Nope that is not true I don't love all games. There's plenty of games that I'm not interested in and I'm not just talking about the typical Barbie type games I'm talking about highly reviewed or widely beloved games.
While I do agree that the reviewer should be far removed from any undue influences the point I was trying to make was that it has been my experience that all the heavily hyped games that have been high scorers have been reviewed accurately. Yeah I did disagree with reviews and Too Human and some other games but those are ones that I felt were underrated not overrated due to PR influences on reviewers.
Indeed. That's why I enjoyed them as well. They were so much fun to play. I'd love to see them put up the Killer Instinct games on XBLA and would love even more to see a new one come out for the 360.

While playing your latest game, "LittleBigPlanet" in the first level of the third world in the game (titled "Swinging Safari":smileywink:, I have noticed something strange in the lyrics of the music track of the level. When I listened carefully, I was surprised to hear some very familiar Arabic words from the Quran. You can listen to part of the track here:
mt14.quickshareit.com/share/p...lip22503c0.wav
The words are:
1- In the 18th second: "كل نفس ذائقة الموت" ("kollo nafsin tha'iqatol mawt", literally: 'Every soul shall have the taste of death').
2- Almost immediately after, in the 27th second: "كل من عليها فان" ("kollo man alaiha fan", literally: 'All that is on earth will perish').
I asked many of my friends online and offline and they heard the exact same thing that I heard easily when I played that part of the track. Certain Arabic hardcore gaming forums are already discussing this, so we decided to take action by emailing you before this spreads to mainstream attention.
We Muslims consider the mixing of music and words from our Holy Quran deeply offending. We hope you would remove that track from the game immediately via an online patch, and make sure that all future shipments of the game disk do not contain it.
We would also like to mention that this isn't the first time something like this happened in videogames. Nintendo's 1998 hit "Zelda: Ocarina of Time" contained a musical track with islamic phrases, but it was removed in later shipments of the game after Nintendo was contacted by Muslim organizations. Last year, Capcom's "Zack & Wiki" and Activision's "Call of Duty 4" also contained objectionable material offensive to Muslims that was spotted before the release of the final games, and both companies thankfully removed the content.
We hope you act immediately to avoid any confusion and unnecessary controversy, and we thank you for making such an amazing game.
Regards,
yasser

Oversensitive
Actually that seems a very polite request to me. I don't want to really assume they are over sensitive myself as I am not muslim so it could very well be quite offensive to them. I'm sure each culture has different things that seem minor to others but are very important to them. It'll take less then a month to rectify and I think is a pretty noble action on Sony's behalf.
Bolded for mindblowing-ness.
Do you guys remember the controversy over the Danish comics depiction of Allah?
I am just going to call BS on that. If you find a game offensive, guess what? No one forces you to play it! Let other people enjoy the game, and don't force you religion on other people. The only reason Sony is fixing it, is because they fear the same thing that happened with the Danish cartoons, will happen to them. So yes, the fanatical Muslims have sand in their vagina, end of story!
It was a depiction of Mohammed not Allah!
Maybe, maybe not. However considering that this will have zero effect on the actual game itself the whole thing seems moot to me.
Woo hoo! Time to fire up the MGS4/360 rumour mill again. You know what they say where there's smoke there's fire. I think the dude from Konami being interviewed let slip some info too early.

Hmm, how was this possible? Zelda: OoT used all midi music, right? I never heard of that issue before.
BTW, the Capcom PSN Storefront article above contains the wrong link.
Agreed. I'd like to see a new KI with full 3D graphics, but 2D gameplay (i.e. SFIV). Rare has expressed interest in going back to KI in the past, but nothing concrete. I read recently that they included KI characters vision cards in Viva Pinata 2. We can only hope.
It is not just this game Archie. There is also OOT, Zack and Wiki, Danish cartoons and the destruction of the Budha statues in Afganistan, murder of Theo van Gogh, the list goes on.
