I loved Yakuza so much. I preordered the sequel for £15 which is a steal for a brand new game. GG i think you should get and either get a cheap deal ps2 with your piggybank change or see if you can find a PS2 combatible PS3 as I know you want one of those

I managed to miss this from Thursdays updates, but...
"Rare has vigorously denied suggestions that its Avatars for Xbox 360 are a deliberate attempt to copy Nintendo's popular Mii template"

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileThis has made me want this so badly. Oshii is probably the director who best caters all my obsessions with the themes of AI/cyberspace/cyberpunk/robots etc and his has at times been as great and thought provoking as the writings of William Gibson or Riddley Scott's Blade Runner. Thank you so much for this gg.
... *hugs Ghost in the Shell DVDs*

I'm just one of those gamers that has a limit on the machines he will own per generation. If I could get PS2 backwards compatibility in a PS3 then fine, but as a standalone console, another console with no room to be put. No. And I can't own more than two consoles a generation, simple as. Are there any comparisons between yakuza and shenmue at all?
Musgrave said: "It was an idea we had, even before Miis were part of the gaming scene, of putting these characters that you have an affinity with, not necessarily as part of the Xbox dash, but somewhere in the Xbox that you would play multiple games with, that you would have multiple experiences with that same character."
Seeking to hammer home the point that any similarity between Avatars and Miis was purely coincidental, producer Chris Sutherland added: "We had a project up and running that had Avatars in them and the aim was always to have this component where you were able to customise your character and apply clothing to them."
And just in case there was any remaining confusion, Musgrave assured us that "Microsoft did not turn up one day in a speeding car and say, 'They've got Miis - do something!' It wasn't like that at all; it was something that fell into place over a period of time." More likely a private jet anyway.
The lovely chaps at Rare also told us there was some confusion early on as to what form the Avatars should take. "Should these things be little animals, should they be quirky characters, should they be Spore-like creatures, should they be ultra-real humans? We landed in the place that we have from the overriding theme that is approachability," said Musgrave.
Hmmmmm.
I was left bewildered by Ghost in the Shell 2 and I had to watch the first film several times before I grew to like it. He's a strange one Oshi. I think I prefer Katsuhiro Otomo of Steamboy fame. Or Satoshi Kon of Paprika and Tokyo Godfathers. Have to eventually pick up Perfect Blue as well.
Why deny it? They made their name off copying Nintendo.
Well I finally finished Okami. Great 2nd half of the game...so much better than the first half. Seems like they really started to get a good understanding of what they were doing halfway through. The last boss was pretty tough.
It took me almost 44 hours total, much longer than I expected. Its sad that they'll never get a chance to make a sequel. I suppose they could call it Project Ammy or something like that....like Monolith did with Fear 2 at first.
I still wouldn't give it a 9 because of the tedium in the first half, but its a solid 8.6 or so. Now finally I can move on to some of these other games.
Yeah but RARE use to do things better then Nintendo though.
Also I watched "Tropic Thunder" yesterday. Man it has been a good while since I've seen a movie so funny that I would laugh out loud multiple times without watching it with someone else. Ben Stiller really is talented in making his own movies. Can't wait until his next work. I actually thought that the "Booty Sweat" commercial was real at first. I was like "...."
Also I downloaded all of Forbidden's albums. Good God "Distortion" and "Green" are just pure plain crap...they aren't even thrash.
...Wait so Edge likes the PS3 better then the 360 now?

No they didn't! Could you give some examples?

I'm not sure what to call those Forbidden CD's. Odd I guess. Forbidden Evil and Twisted Into Form were awesome though.
Yes I like PS3 better now. Except for the controller. I wish I could use my 360 pad on PS3.
Super Mario World and Yoshi's Island are better! Plus I would not call DKC series Mario clones unless you want to call all 2D platformers Mario Clones. Besides why do people seem to hate DKC3? I loved that game. Most people agree that Mario 64 > Banjo Kazooie, so what is left? Starfox Adventure better than Zelda, no way. Donkey Kong 64?
The difficulty really made the first two DKC games, and DKC3 wasn't really as difficult so it didn't really work as well. Though I haven't played it since the week it was released.
