Both games look and run a lot better than they did on N64. Unfortunately, like Goldeneye 007, Nintendo did absolutely nothing to make these games control correctly with the modern controllers, forcing their users to create their own system level (outside the app) button/stick reconfigurations.
Lazy much, Nintendo?
^Those MOTHERFUCKERS!
I'm hoping their big launch exclusive is a new 3D Mario game. It's been 7 years since Odyssey came out.
God, another reminder that I'm fucking old. Seriously, time has flown by during this current gen.
I don’t know about the blood but I think I see a penis there.
It's been too long, but I have trouble complaining about the volume of first party output. About 4 years ago I would have been satisified with an Odessey 1.5 release, but I am hoping for a bit more innovation if they are going to hold 3D mario to a launch.
I suspect it'll be an open world-ish 3D Mario similar to their Bowser's Fury experiment.
It has not even started for me yet! But also, June 2024 is almost over dudes. We are almost living in 2025. That means we've had hoverboards for at least the last 10 years.
Ugh!
Got the new PC and after a couple of hours of freak out because it would not boot, it is working now.
Got everything working seamlessly, Steam is up and my old HDD with all the games is installed.
All I have to do now is figure out how to get amazon games to see the already installed library and hook it up to the TV.
Yay! (for now)
On Switch I buy them physically. They've even been releasing previously Japan only installments in these new collections.
If you're not bothered by physical games they also put them on fairly amazing discounts.
I now have Ace Attorney 1, 2 and 3 remastered, The Apollo Justice trilogy remastered.
The Great Ace Attorney 1 and 2 remastered.
And now the Ace Prosecutor 1 and 2 are coming this year.
That's 9 games, all fully playable in HD, looking great on a 4KTV, with auto scrolling text.
And yet still preserving the portable nature of the games with touchscreen support.
If they had good, full voice acting they would be perfect. Just perfect.
And people say there's no innovation in AAA gaming these days.
Big fan of Balloon Fight. Will look into this as well. Too bad it doesn't feature online play, that'd be awesome.
Funny story really, which I'll hold for the podcast. Hooked up to TV, it is glorious! Now I just have to move it to media room and see how we go with the older TV.
I wonder why?
IGN putting their acquisition of Gamer Network to good use I see.
