That said, the fan translation that's floating around out there is very easy to find and it is 100% a professional level job. I have played a lot of fan translated games, and I can tell you that this is probably the best I've ever come across. Not only is the translation good, but they even maintained that quirky sense of humor that the series has. If you haven't played it, it is absolutely worth grabbing an emulator and trying it out. I know when I did my top 100 game list several years ago, that was a top 20 game, and I don't think my opinion has changed in that time.

I think it would have as much interest as any of the Xeno games and the work would be a fraction of the price.

One could have said the same about Kid Icarus, and Super Mario RPG, (that they were not commercially viable as re-runs), but Nintendo brought them back with good results.  Hell, they are bringing back Pocket Card Junki for chrissake.  Yeah, I agree, it's not something that I think is commercially viable, but for every one of me, there appear to be 1,000,000 Nintendo cult members who will buy anything with the Nintendo name on the box.

Xeno games kept being released much later, and Super Mario RPG has Mario in the name, so I don't think they're comparable. Kid Icarus, maybe. I don't know what a pocket card junkie is.

But there's another difference. With new Xeno, new Super Mario, new Kid Icarus, and new card addict, you're getting a new game to release in Japan, as well. Translating a game out of Japanese doesn't give you that; it's solely for foreign markets.

Lol I saw the Borderlands movie trailer last night. I was highly suspicious. I was like, is this some thing they did for a comedy sketch? Or live action commercial? And they cast Cate Blanchette??
