Longer battery life for PS5 controllers? About time, Sony! Mine gets around 2-3 hours max with rumble on low. I use it wired for the most part, which is a pain with a dog in the room.
You might have a bum controller, I usually get, now I am guessing here, 5-6 hours no worries.
it wouldn't surprise me. I had a lot of connection issues with this controller when I first got my PS5. It finally started working right months later after a couple of updates. Works best as a wired controller, though.
Personally I think it's great news. Sure, it's a mod and it'll be a bit fiddly with not every game proving a good fit, but PC gamers ostensibly love tinkering to get thing working properly and this mod singelhandedly creates a nearly endless library of games to play in VR. And best of all: at no cost since a lot of people will own a bunch of compatible games already. I'm nearly enticed to invest in a decent gaming PC myself, and I hate fiddling around with settings.
Absolutely great news but I looked at the list of UE games and I own a few but not many that would benefit from VR. Plus I had programs that would convert non VR games into VR. But yeah it's great to see easier conversions happen.
This is amazing, the list of every top 20 best selling NPD tracked US video games every year since 1995. You can clearly see trends come and go, franchises rise and fall, major companies dominate then have quiet periods and see the insane run CoD has. Nintendo owned during the 64 era, their games dominated which is weird cause I felt PS1 was played by more people. How in the hell did donkey Kong 64 sell so well, never knew anyone cared. You can see the Nintendo domination end and the rise of sports games and music games. You can see the insane late 90s wrestling boom. The GTA and Tony hawk eras. The rise of Wii and its domination for a few years. Halo always been a big seller whenever it came out, well before 5. Sony games never really doing the best, always hanging around the mid to low levels. Franchises like RE, FF, Tekken, Gran Turismo, God of War, Crash bandicoot, Mass Effect, MGS, all where never top sellers. You can see NBA2K rise up and beat Madden year in and out.
I think with the N64, the library was a lot smaller, so when the big games came out, everyone who owned the system bought those games. The PlayStation had a library that was probably five times the size of the N64 though. So I suspect you saw a lot of games that sold well, but weren't giant Blockbuster hits. For the overall library sales, I'm pretty sure PlayStation smacked the N64. But if anyone thinks that Nintendo didn't print a lot of money with the N64, they had their heads stuck up really far in the System Wars forum.
That list really is cool though. I had forgotten what a fucking beast Guitar Hero was for a while. In 2007 the number one game was Guitar Hero 3, the number 3 game was Guitar Hero 2, and Rock Band (the more expensive game with all the instruments) was only a little further down the list.
Pretty cool list. All I ever heard during the N64 and GC years were many people dumping on Nintendo so its odd to see how good their sales were then.
It also shows just how much bigger gaming has become over the years. Super Mario 64's lifetime sales are 12 million copies, enough for it to be '96s best selling game and to take 2nd place the year after. Super Mario Odyssey, which sold more than double those numbers 20 years later 'only' managed a 9th and a 17th place.
I bought an import of the Ace Attorney Trilogy on Switch.
You can get the Trilogy + The Great Ace Attorney bundle for under $20 on the eshop which is immensely good avalue.
There's something about these games I've always loved so I wanted to get them physically. You can sell your DS versions which easily pays for the new versions.
I sold Paper Mario GC for enough to buy the Remake + another game.
I feel like the only time I replay a game is when a remaster comes out these days.
It's been a long time since I played a game where much of the satisfaction lay in what's going on in your mind and how you link up the facts, to unpack the secrets, simmering underneath.
The final scene was immensely satisfying seeing the comeuppance. Loved it.
That was my reaction too.

I’m a huge fan. Mostly for the SNES game Sparkster though. To see Konami releasing these on the new consoles is awesome news. Day one for me.
Did your avatar used to be Rocket Knight?
No. I’m a disappointment to the fan club.
Woo hoo! Oh wait. D’ohh!

it's such a cool list with some neat surprises.

I've only played the first PW.
Omg playing the Trilogy is a must. It explains everything.
Everything?
I completed Agatha Christie the first Cases
Frankly, brilliant.

Must get the London Case game.
The first game is like the starter. The story is so much deeper. Might as well get the Trilogy bundle with the Great Ace Attorney.
5 games for less than 20 bucks.
Maybe one day. I'm starting Bioshock 2 and will eventually get yo Baldurs Gate 3
