Will you guys buy a Switch 2 if it's $400?

For me, it'll l have to be quite powerful and and have a lot of must-have exclusives for me to pay that much, I think.

$400 Australian. Day one. $400 USD is $600 here, I'd probably get a quest 2 or ps5 instead.

All this talk makes me think I should pick up a new PS4 controller. My one good one is really not all that good.

yeah my new one died the square button stopped working so my "good" one is my launch and all the grip rubber is worn off.

It's going to have lots of exclusives, as current Switch does. Quite powerful? It's mobile hardware. Recent tech talk has said it can do current gen games, but only by using DLSS with resolutions from 1080p to 2k. Might be rare to see 4k

Since I can't be bothered with multiple systems I'd pay £400 for the system but the price of games is ludicrous. But even now I've never paid full price £50 per Switch Game here in the UK. There's always someone selling them cheaper and the vast, vast majority of my catalogue is cheap indie games.

Frankly, if you don't have a large sd card and aren't scanning the eshop each week for sales, that are practically always running, every week of the year, you're doing it wrong.

I've played so many great indie games at ridiculously low prices and many I value as much as an experience as Tears of the Kingdom. And my wishlist is still well over 100 titles.

No chance it will be cheaper than the Switch's RRP.

Sadly, Nintendo has abandoned most of their exclusives that I enjoy the most like F-zero, Pilotwings, Wave Race, Excite Truck.  If they brought those back, Switch 2 would be an instant must-buy for me. I mean, I get it. Those games don't sell well, but they help sell me on Nintendo's hardware. An open world 3D Super Mario could be cool too. Metroid Prime 2 & 3 Remastered and Metroid Prime 4 would be great as well.

1080p with DLSS 2K upscaling would likely be good enough for me. I'm thinking PS4 Pro-ish power. Half the fun of new hardware is being "wowed" by the shiny new graphics. Nintendo hasn't really brought that since the GameCube.

I wish I could stick with one system per generation. Would save me lots $$$ and space. That would be PS or PC these days, though.

Well the Mclassic will scale any 1080p output to 2k, with a cheap add on.

It's rumoured to be around Xbox Series S power range with the modern features on the GPU.

I have found as much fun in the indie games, as 1st party. Darkside Detective, Thimbleweed Park etc.

I started Agatha Christie the ABC Murders

It's pretty good so far, more of a point and click style game, even though you can move your character about with the control stick. They sell it as a double pack for $10 bundled with the First Cases (which is a separate game).

Really like the art style, reminds me of XIII. There are object puzzles, you can also spin items about to spot things. You can  observe people and the environment up close. Question suspects.

Nice so far, eager to play more. It doesn't have the drama of the Orient Express demo, so you'll need to okay with droll British Ness, think Edwardian Detective drama.

You know what would get me back to buying a Switch 2? Bring me back a Miiverse.

Also, ExciteTruck actually sold pretty well if memory serves correct. It did pretty close to a million copies.

I never really spent any time in the Miiverse. Cool concept. I'm sure it was a challenge for Nintendo to keep it family friendly.

Robio's finally making sense.

As is Raven. I'd love Nintendo to return to their arcade racer IP.

I always enjoyed the Miiverse. I didn't spend crazy amounts of time there, but I would make a post every once in a while when I got stuck, or if I saw something funny in a game I take a screenshot and share it.

I definitely realized how cool it was once it was gone though. Seeing everyone run into the startup plaza with comments about what game they were currently playing always made things feel a little bit more connected and alive. Now that same startup screen feels like a ghost town with zombies. Just repeating tips on what features the Wii U offers. Plus he had a couple games like Splatoon and Mario kart work people's submitted artwork into different backgrounds on the game.

It was all little stuff at the end of the day, and I'm sure that's why it never really carried on, but I would definitely appreciate it more if they brought it back for a second round.

Yes, no chance. I just looked up what a Switch in Australia costs, $469, ($314 USD) which is decent. If a new Switch launches at $499 AUD I'd get it in the launch window depending on what games are out and if it is backward compatible. I still have a launch Switch and could use an upgrade.

Yes, definitely would love to see the Miiverse return. I loved goofing off with the Miis.

I finished Agatha Christie the ABC Murders.

Game is around 7 to 8 hours long. It eventually became quite compelling and had a good resolution. I'd say the way it was directed could have been done with more dramatic flair, animations, cut scenes etc

But overall a good quality point and click adventure. Looking forward to the next game, The First Cases.

I should have been playing RE2 Remake with headphones. It makes especially creepy use of PS5's 3D audio capabilities.

Bioshock still looks great today. I am probably about halfway through then will move on to Bioshock 2, which I haven't played since it was first released.

Started Agatha Christie Hercule Quirot the first cases.

it's a very different game than the ABC murders and will be much the same as the London cases, the next game available (same dev). It's isometric and realistic visuals, you have much more freedom of movement inside and outside of buildings.

There's a mass of evidence to inspect and multiple memory maps. In the ABC murders the game asks you a question and you present a few pieces of evidence to support or negate that theory.

Here you have multiple brainstorm maps like intricate spiders webs that you have to link together. It's sometimes frustrating in that even if you know what happened you have to study this massive sprawling mind map and link together only the two items it wants you too.

Occasionally there are overlaps, where more than one piece of evidence could potentially link with something else, but they want you to choose rhe specific one they want.

Thankfully after a few missed guesses it highlights the answers for you so you won't get too frustrated.

I can see myself enjoying this game more than THE Abc Murders as it feels more hands on and more free in its exploration. Good stuff so far.

I've been continuing my playthrough of R2 Remake this weekend. I think I'm nearing the end. I'm in the sewers now looking for some missing chess pieces.
