I hate it when it's dark early. The lack of light hits me with seasonal depression or whatever you call it.

I get that way as well.

I forgot how good Dead Space is and the remake looks fantastic.

You must say this is Miyamoto first!

I'm starting to get the feeling it may not actually be Miyamoto posting.

Yeah we are just getting to the opposite time of year down here when you wake up at 4:30 and the sun goes down at 1830. It's prime living quality.

[timeextension.com]Carmack & Romero Team Up for a Doom 30th Anniversary LivestreamTwitch December 10thGood news. Hopefully someone here reminds me when it happens.

Just finished Romero's book Doom Guy, last month. - I should write a review actually.

In case you are wondering, I am on the road for work tonight, thus, on the internet for the first time in a while.

It will certainly be interesting to see what the next step is for GTA. I have been *almost* tempted to start up GTA5 over the last few months, but I am guessing it is pretty cringe* at this stage. *As in the satire has gone stale as reality has outpaced it.

Plus my copy is on PS3, which cannot look great these days. (Still playing PS3 mind you, Stick of Truth when I get 15 minutes to spare).

Is it worth reading? I keep forgetting about it but intend to read it sometime if it's interesting.

I feel more relaxed when it's dark. As if the stress of the day leaves with the sun. It's why I actually kind of prefer my current office setup that is in a room with no windows.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile

I could not tolerate an office like that for long. Makes me anxious just thinking about it

Yes, it certainly is worth reading, especially if you have already read Master of Doom, a it fills in a lot of areas and corrects some things as well.  The book is unevenly paced, and the career after Ion Storm is certainly less interesting in places.  Like Blesinski's book it is painfully honest in places, but there is also a fair bit of humble-brag, that would have been a good name for the book! Humble Brag: The John Romero Story.

As I said, worth reading and  a good complement to Masters of Doom.

Yeah, I read Masters of Doom a couple years ago. I'll get his new book tonight then. Thanks!

I was more like that for most of my life. Then just a couple years ago I noticed once it started getting darker earlier I consistently had less energy, and a few other signs of seasonal depression. It's a goddamn delight.

Valve is releasing an OLED Steam Deck soon. Looks pretty cool. I'm tempted to get it and turn it into a high powered retro handheld. A bit too expensive for that, though ($549).

Yeah it does look very cool indeed. I’m really digging all this stuff going on in the handheld PC gaming sector. Some very tempting products.
