I'm about halfway through Jedi Survivor and really enjoying it. I just wish I had time to sit and just play it for more than a half hour. Maybe if I wasnt so into the book that I'm reading atm.
Might have been around 50 hours but I’m slow. There’s two endings though. A basic ending and a “true ending”. You need to complete various side quests to get the true ending.
I finished RE7 which is instantly one of my favourite REs...though it could have done with more bosses and tougher enemies. Way too easy in general; maybe just cause I played it after 0. But it made up for it with charm.
So there's been some buzz about the new 1000 dollar iPhone. Its getting natively rendered games like the RE4 remake and the new Ass creed.
Are you interested, or would you play big games on an iPhone screen with a controller attached?
I find I don't really play games on my phone, partly because of the limited selection, touch screen controls and battery life.
I need my phone battery for.. well, in case I need battery in an emergency and for net browsing etc. So I don't like draining my battery playing games.
Even if I did I'd need a controller, like a shell. And I'd have to remove my case to slot it in every time. Can't be bothered.
I can cast my display to the TV wirelessly, but the quality and screen ration isn't great and it mirrors the phone screen so you'd still be draining the battery.
I'm not sure I could ever fully replace a dedicated gaming device with a phone.
Ive played xbox games on my iPhone with an xbox controller. Its pretty reliable if you have a reliable WiFi connection.
I’ll stick with gaming on consoles. If I want to go with portable gaming then I’ll use something like a Switch, Steam Deck, ROG Ally, etc. Not really interested in gaming on a phone.
Go ahead and play RE Village when you get the chance. And after that, you'll want to go back to RE7 one more time.

Maybe Castlevania announcement at Tokyo Game Show
19.09.23 - At the Tokyo Game Show (21.09.23 - 24.09.23) there might be a Castlevania announcement from Konami for Xbox. That's according to leaker Billbil_kun, who has been revealing the right PS Plus lineup in advance for years.
It's unclear what it is: it could be a Castlevania-themed Xbox controller, or a console designed that way, maybe a new game.
Pitch in court documents: Microsoft plans next Xbox for 2028
09/19/23 - Court documents from the FTC v. Microsoft case indicate that Microsoft was considering a new Xbox for 2028.
Until then, Microsoft believes it can achieve the "full convergence" of its cloud gaming platform and physical hardware to deliver "cloud hybrid games": "Our vision: to develop a next-generation hybrid gaming platform capable of leveraging the combined power of client and cloud to enable deeper immersion and entirely new types of gaming experiences."
Microsoft envisioned being able to play the games with the combined power of a device under $99 - possibly a handheld - and its xCloud platform at the same time. Microsoft has already taken the first steps in this direction by streaming photorealistic landscapes from the cloud in Microsoft Flight Simulator. However, the best example of this type of game is an Amazon demo from 2014 that rendered huge armies from the Middle-earth universe in the cloud.
The advantages of this type of games are that they can be played on any device, regardless of hardware performance. They can also offer very realistic graphics and effects that would not be possible with native hardware.
In these documents, Microsoft now calls the idea "Cohesive Hybrid Compute" – a "cloud-to-edge architecture across silicon, graphics, and operating system that enables ubiquitous gaming." The team has hinted that it will need to strike partnerships with AMD for the silicon by the first quarter of this year to secure the company's Navi 5 graphics - currently only working with Navi 3 - and possibly acquire the company's Zen 6 CPU cores as well.
Microsoft suspects it also needs an NPU (AI machine learning coprocessor) to offer a host of benefits, including super resolution, latency compensation, frame rate interpolation, and more. The documents include a potential roadmap for the technology, which calls for hardware development to begin in 2024, the first development kits to appear in 2027, and the first hybrid cloud games to be produced between 2024 and 2026.

So 2028 new Microsoft cloud gaming new console. Potentially a 99 dollar handheld.
I don't mind the idea of a cloud gaming handheld as long as it works. Current WiFi is rubbish for cloud gaming and if you're out you'd need an expensive limitless 5G connection?
With MS trying to buy up everything and new "Pro" console mid-gen releases likely next year, I think I'm going to jump ship and build a new gaming PC instead. The current console industry is nuts.
I was going to go that route, but my PS4 library is pretty substantial and I plan to continue to revisit it. At this point, I think I'm handcuffed to the Sony ecosystem.
Yeah, I won't be getting rid of my PS5 anytime soon for the same reason. I intend to shift over to PC once the PS5 starts struggle with new games like the PS4 did. With PC and Nintendo, I should be able to play just about everthing I'd want.
A lot of gaming news going on today.
Not sure what to make of it all for Microsoft. Will just continue gaming as is for now and decide what to do when or if the time comes. Will definitely be hanging on to my systems though so I can keep playing all my current games.
With the MS leak stating Obivion and Fallout 3 remaster are in the works, I booted up Fallout 3 PC. It still looks great with max settings. Oblivion could benefit the most; draw distance is awful, even on PC.
Shame there's no mention of a Morrowind remaster. That's the one I'd like to see the most.
Now do it in VR! Lol.
RE7 kind of saved the franchise, great game.
That MS leak was juicy! Phil wanting to buy Nintendo, admitting to having someone buy sticks to influence the board lol. The mid gen console has no power upgrade, it just removes discs and has more space. So MS is going fully disc less in the future, hmm. Excited for the new Doom game those mention.
So I got MK1, the story mode is fantastic so far. The production values are insane, it feels like I am watching a full CG movie at times. The combat is pretty similar to the last ones but the kameo system does add a whole layer to combo juggling. Seems this game is way more focused on air juggles, which I am not good at. The invasion mode doesn't seem too interesting, I have to play more to see if it hooks me.
I didn't read all of it, but I'm assuming you mean 'stocks'? Or was he intending to influence an Oriented Strand Board or similar lumber product?
According to the internal imagery, it'll also be much more adorable. That counts for something at least.
