Looking forward to picking up Street Fighter 6 this Friday. Also looking forward to getting Diablo IV but not sure if I’ll grab it right away or not. Also got Final Fantasy XVI coming out near the end of June. Crazy times indeed.
Seems like it's been a long time since we've had so many big name releases come out at the same time, at least outside of the holiday season. We've got Zelda, Final Fantasy, Diablo, and Street Fighter are all right around the corner. And just after that Pikmin 4 comes out (and yet another Sonic compilation if that's what you're into). Kind of feels like we've gone back to the 90s when big titles came out more frequently, and there didn't seem to be quite as much strategy as far as the timing.
Blissfully raining today in Singapore. A lot cooler, yet still in shorts temperatures.
Went to the Kampong District, Haji Lane stuffed with eccentric little shops and eateries.
There was an awesome coffee shop there with a kind owner that topped me up with extra coffee and coconut milk.
Inside the back room they've made a small indoor area that looks like you're sitting in the middle of a terracotta tiled square with blossoms around you.
The taxis/Grab app taxis are a love hate affair.
Despite you specifying a location you often have to scramble to a different pick up location.
Taxi stands are also abused regularly by non taxis making it a pain in the ass to get a taxi.
Eurogamer is walking a thin rope these days. They've always been left leaning, but it's becoming much more prominent. There's only so much LGBTQ+ sensibility I can take. They reviewed the sequel to Mutant Year Zero and gave it a 1 out of 5 stars, mostly because the AI companion is, according to the reviewer, a blatant reference to black people and their history of slavery. The rest of the game seems perfectly serviceable if uninspired. Oh, and she also needs to point out that there was one dialoge line that was clearly anti-LGBTQ+. Really, who cares about that one line?
I made a comment calling EG out on this, and it is currently awaiting approval by the moderation team, which is basically just censorship. So everyone should be allowed their freedom in who they are as an individual, but lest not allow free speech.
I really enjoy EG's output, but really, there are a few contributors who I feel I'd much rather just not read their articles anymore.
I love Bulletstorm but that's going to be a tough sell. That's a 13-year-old game that was at bargain bin pricing pretty quickly. And the same thing happened when they released it a couple years ago.
Plus, who the hell made that trailer? It's like they didn't even play the game. It didn't highlight any of the things that made the game stand out like the skillshots and the hyper juvenile dialogue that I'm ashamed to say makes me giggle like a 10 year old hearing Eddie Murphy for the first time.

Hey what is the group opinion on The Witcher 3? The closest I've ever come to playing it was The Witcher DLC for Monster Hunter.
I've bought it for three formats and not got that far into it. However, th one time I gave it a serious try it was really engaging and quite well done as a traditional WRPG ala Morrowind. Nice quirky humour, in that it didn't take itself seriously.
I'd play it to completion on the right format (Switch).

Singapore seems to have a trend of godawful carpet patterns. They all look like magic eye puzzles.
The city looks very rich, its like the skyscraper District of New York or London, but everywhere.
I'd love to know if there is an underclass world to Singapore. IThe people I interact with from Singapore all seem like they levitate and speak a different language from normal folk.
Street Fighter 6 and Diablo 4 come out this week?! This year is nuts. I had no clue cause Zelda is taking all my time.

It is winter, after all.

What's the issue with a blatant reference to slavery?

Great story, great visuals, decent enough combat. Its easy to get sucked into the tons of quests.
Yeah pretty much exactly this for me as well.
Same here. Very fun and funny game.

I have to play it again. Damn it was good.
I was going to say, it's looking like another 1998 calibre year.

Are you doxing me?!
"Two new Rune Factory games are announced Rune Factory 6 and Rune Factory: Project Dragon "
Okay, I guess.
