Playing Dig Dug on Atari 2600. What an amazing accomplishment it is, not so much as the graphics, though they are good, but how on earth did they mimic the arcade gameplay. I have a stpory about dig dug, and the first time I played it in a coin-op laundry in Huntington Beach with a 17 year old gal, but that can wait until I can rememebr my password for gameunder.net, the official site of aspro and foolz meandering minds.

One of my top 5 Atari 2600 games. 👍

The Phil Spencer interview is mind boggling. I get that he's trying to downplay Xbox so they can buy Activision, but he says like four distinct thgins here to say "we suck and there is nothing we can do"  THEN WHAT IS YOUR FUCKING JOB?  QUIT AND LET ME RUN XBOX.

Again, I get this is subterfuge, but can you do it a bit more subtly so you don't look like an inept bystander.

If it weren't for MS ownership of Rare's back catalog, I don't think I'd have much interest in Xbox these days. Shame really. I haven't turned on m Xbox SS in months.

I also would not want to go to Malaysia, but humid and hot is the best part.

I went as a child and remember, 5 minutes outside the hotel your t-shirt literally sticks to you like glue. And you're covered in sweat.

That's kinda crazy interview.

I casually browsed through the Switch eShop yesterday evening and saw a Mario Kart like Disney game, which peaked my interest.  I watched the trailer and my god, I've never seen a game be so open about how it's basically just a storefront for DLC and microtransactions.  It's like they were actually proud of it.  Absolutely disgusting and quite the shame, as the game itself looks interesting enough.

Its made by the Asphalt team, so I assume it will be similar. So it will be free, give you hundreds of hours of entertainment, but require severe grinding to get the better cars.

Even paying for stuff on Asphalt was pretty pointless, it doesn't work out economically.

I didn't know that.  Only, there doesn't seem to be a free version of this title.

Yeah those Xbox Series expansion cards are still too expensive. I’m waiting for the Western Digital ones anyway. Definitely going to need the 2GB myself.

Well I got suckered. I was watching Al Davis vs the NFL documentary where they have interviews with the commissioner and Al Davis that appear to be in the new stadium in Las Vegas.  Then at the end of it they show the dates on the screen when they were born and died -- and they both died years ago.  The interviews were CGI!

Which once you know they are deepfakes it is obvious, but never occurred to me while I was watching it.

I heard conflicting things. But some sites are saying you pay for the founders packs if you want it now and for it to come with stuff unlocked.

But it will be available free to play like Asphalt eventually. Hope that's true as Asphalt 9 has the best track design outside Mario Kart for me and the handling is great, plus they're really good at getting the most out of the switch visually.

The fact he was called "AI Davis" should have tipped you off.

I don't know if 'new' really applies here. The man's 74 years old!

Congrats on your spare, well seasoned king GG!

I watched the coronation, it was interesting, but not enough to overcome sleep and the draw of this new book I got for free from Amazon Prime. Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. It's my introduction to the franchise. Up to chapter six, it's a brisk read.

I was away from home this weekend so I got to play as opposed to work.

Bayonetta 3 - bit of a button mashing event, but holy cow it seems so much more like DMC these days. Maybe just becasue it's been a few years since I played Devil May Cry or Bayonetta.  Makes me think back on DMC much more favourably.

Fishing Derby, Freeway and Dig Dug on Atari 2600.

This looks like a healthy alternative:

https://www.thelightphone.com/

E-ink display phone that allows texting and calling and simple podcasting and music, but nothing else.  So want.

If it supports Kindle ebooks, it would be very nice indeed.

This weekend I actually played some games since Im finally over that cold (sick for nearly two weeks Argh! ).. Against my better judgement, I picked up Metroid Prime Remastered. I'm enjoying it more than I was expecting. I vaguely remember parts of the game since I only played through it once when it first came out. The remaster looks and plays fantastic. Dual-analogue controls are an awesome upgrade.

I've also been playing Zelda BOTW. It's time to finish this game.

And I've played a few hours of Gran Tursismo 7.

This weekend I played a bit of Spider-Man Remastered on the PS5 but mostly The Legend of Zelda on the Switch. Got the urge to play through the OG before Tears of the Kingdom hits.
