I'm happy we at least have rovers on Mars. So many amazing pictures from them over the years.

Makes me wonder if any space exploration is actually worth it.

It's a matter of perspective. Some people think the achievements themselves justify it. However, if you actually look at the number of everyday items that have been developed through NASA and the space program it's pretty impressive. Baby formula, velcro, scratch resistant glasses, and all sorts of other things are consumer byproducts that came about because of needs NASA had.

I definitely think it's worth it. The universe is fascinating and it's human nature to explore.

If it is funded by people who believe money is fictional and not a limited resource, I think space exploration and ballpoint pens would be well worth it. But it's funded by people who don't believe that and it comes at the expense of those who need help, so I'm not so sure.

Agreed. Plus our planet is overcrowded and resources are strained. We simply need to expand.

I’m very much digging the Final Fantasy Pixel remasters. Would love for them to give the same treatment to Dragon Quest I - VI.

We're not far away from getting the DQ3 2D-HD treatment. I'm actually more excited for that. But all the games in the series deserve a little extra love. The mobile/DS remakes were nice, but they're also showing their age now.

That'll never work. Why spend massive amounts of money and finit resources to shoot our offspring into space to die lonely on a hostile planet?

We should focus on improving quality of life for everyone here on earth. We're the only species that reproduces less the better we have it. And if that doesn't work, roll out a one kid policy. We xan halve the strain on our planet in the span of 30 years.

I’m talking long term goal here. We should absolutely work towards expanding to other planets for human colonization. Definitely going to take a long time but you need to keep working to progress to that point. In the meantime could absolutely work to improve life here as well. Doesn’t have to be one or the other.

I’m definitely looking forward to that as well. Yeah those remakes were better then nothing but I don’t care too much for the look in those games. The pixel artwork is so much better in my opinion.

I'm downloading SF6 demo for PS5 now. I'd love to get back into fighting games again.

Yeah definitely going to check out the demo as well although I’m day one for this game regardless. Looks to be quite a bit of content in the game.

Soul Calibur is the closest I'd come to fighting games these days.

SF5 was a reminder that my days of fighting games are probably done. My hands aren't as nimble with the controllers anymore, and I don't have the interest to really learn the techniques anymore either. Ultimately, it looks like Father Time has kicked my ass like a noob.   He chose Akuma and I chose Dan, and the results were about what you'd expect.

I was interested in SF6's "modern" controls that allows people to play with fewer button presses. Seems great for button mashers but  I hated it and switched it back to classic in the deno. It looks like it'll be a cool game but I'm not sold on it.  I need a turn-based SF game these days.

You know, I'm kind of surprised we've never seen that. Mortal Kombat had it's run of spinoff games, but some mobile garbage aside, I don't remember Street Fighter ever venturing off into any other genres. You would have thought maybe Capcom would have taken the Breath of Fire team and said, "give us a role playing game with Ryu!!!"

I am on espisode 6 of a recent comedy show and I just realized that I've never laughed once. So why do I keep watching? I guess the writing is clever. Is this what comedy is now? Is this who I am now?

EDIT: Okay I just laughed. A character referred to the community as " the LGTV's" and was corrected by another character who said, "That's a brand of televisions".

I would like to take just a minute and complain about Raccoon City's city council. Now I understand no municipality has an unlimited budget, but deciding to put a police department in an old museum without properly updating its security features seems to be an absolutely egregious decision.

While I can appreciate the idea that having a police department in a museum might have some value as a tourist attraction, I would still argue that the work being done in the police station, even in a community that is usually as peaceful as Raccoon City is, does a disservice to the needs of the RCPD.
