Wait, what do you do when go somewhere for skiing and there's no snow? Does the resort charge you less?
Well there is some snow, and we'll be able to do some skiing. There's like a quarter of the resort open and the snow quality will be pretty bad probably as well. If there are days when skiing is not possible due to heavy winds and the resort shuts down, you can apply for a payback. We've never had this little snow before, but I doubt they'll charge us less because of it.
Joke is that we're going now as opposed to in a month or two during spring break as it is apparently a quieter time with less people on the slopes. Of course, since so much is now closed off it might even end up being busier.

Got this game for cheap called Door Kickers Action Squad.
There's another game called Door kickers which is a top down map view where you plan your attacks rainbow 6 style and watch everything play out.
Door Kickers Action Squad (I think by the same dev) is a side scrolling game where you take direct control of a cop as you try and clear a building to save hostages.
You can see a side view of the building and what's inside the rooms and you can make decisions on what to do. Like climb up a ladder and drop down from above, or smash through the window. Break open the door etc
It's pretty awesome so far. There are multiple character types with different abilities.
You can change weapons and other equipment too. There's even a zombie mode where the levels get infested with ghoulish beings.
Only thing it's missing is a tutorial, it's not difficult to pick up, but a brief tutorial would help me to understand my options and who I might enjoy playing as.
It's a very arcade like game though, so I'll be enjoying it as I learn.
I'm an hour early, but I've been awake for 22 hours and figured I'd survive not consciously experiencing the last hour of 2022. Good night and see you next year.

I'm playing quite a few games right now, the new main one being Splatoon 3... which seems just like the other two Splatoon games. I am horrible at turf war right now, just getting destroyed. I tried the single player mode and seems good, I liked the first boss. Looks like it has a bigger open map, cool.
on my phone I've been playing the Netflix game Immortality. This is by Sam Barlow of Her Story fame. It's a FMV game, like her story you are piecing together random clips to put the story together, unlike Her Story I don't know what the fuck I'm trying to find. It's the story of an actress who filmed three movies that never got released, someone found the unreleased making of footage of these movies and you need to go through them. So it's three made up movies, and I'm impressed because you get most of these movies. Sometimes it's actual take for the film, but others it's rehearsals, still you can piece together the overall story, but it's totally random at first. These movies are bad, I don't know if they are bad on purpose but it's erotic thrillers, some hammy acting and poor dialogue. Tons of nudity, the first movie is some erotic priest movie called Ambrosia where a priest makes a deal with the devil who comes in the shape of a hot woman who seduces him and gets a potion to knock out this church goer chick so he can rape her in his dungeon, then it gets weird lol. There is an overall secret to everything which is I guess "the game" part of it all but I still don't get what my goal is. I'm just watching random scenes of crappy movies, at least there are boobs.
So it looks like I will be moving soon. My parents and sister live around tampa, so I looked for jobs around there and got one. It's at the leading children hospital in the state, it will be night shift... so that's different. Better pay. I think housing is easier to get there, I'll be close to family, so yeah I'm leaving Miami for Tampa. Going to be weird.
So is anyone making any resolutions for the upcoming year? I resolve to learn enough French to carry rudimentary conversations during my trip in April.
