My 11 day holiday vacation starts in one hour. My plan is to play games, read books and watch movies and do very little else.

Hello everyone, be safe out there. It's going to get into the teens here which is quite rare. I'm nervous about my pipes freezing up.

We're even going to hit freezing temperatures here. And, this is no joke, but they have actually given the "look out for the iguanas falling out of trees" alert.

From central Florida all the way through Miami and into the Keys we have iguanas that like to hang out in trees. Since they are cold-blooded, when things get cold they shut down and go into hibernation. And if they're in a tree they're going to fall out of it. The good news is a lot of people actually like to eat iguana, and this makes it really easy for them to catch them.

And that is your Florida Man news for December 23rd, 2023.

So do you consider them to be fruit?  Food that falls from trees usually is fruit...

But yes, you all stay safe there.  It was about 15 degrees farenheit here last week and even that was enough to drain me from the will to leave my bed.

It's been -2 here for the last two days with a wind chill around -18. I feel bad for my dog. I can't imagine going to the bathroom in this cold.

I’m used to the cold way up here but I’m still always nervous about my pipe freezing up.

I consider them more like a tomato. Technically a fruit, but you wouldn't put it in fruit salad.

Saw the cold weather news. Yikes. Good luck guys.

I'm really enjoying the golf aspect of golf club Wasteland. There are no indicators for terrain, wind or anything. But with enough practice you get a good feel for what you're doing and it feels very satisfying when you nail a hole.

The Mars radio that plays in the background was initially interesting. But now I've completed it, being subjectes to music that's way outside my comfort zone ; or podcasts by boring people about boring subjects is wearing thin.

Think I might turn off the radio and play my own Christmas music instead.

May all your new games not require mega-gig updates.

And may Windows Updates not kill your Radeon RX 5600 XT card. Just saying... that's what I am doing this morning.
