Didn't make much progress on GT7 or New Pokemon Snap, but did manage to get in some Wandersong. It's impressive how much they can do with such a simple concept.
This weekend the Counter-Strike Major took place in Antwerp this weekend. We were there for other matters, but it was very cool seeing the Hilton advertising for the event, and lots of (well, more than usual) foreigners in the streets. It's also nice to see national coverage cover it as if it were any other sporting event. Reporting of it was even done in the official sports part of the national news outlet.

I was browsing through the games that are on sale on PSN, and the Panzer Dragoon Remake is a whopping $2.50. that game is less than 2 years old if I'm not mistaken. It must have sold like a dozen copies if they've got it down to that point.
I was doing some research this evening and I learned something that somehow I was unaware of. The final Super Famicom game was Fire Emblem: Thracia 776, and it was released as a cartridge in January of 2000. I had no clue that Nintendo was still releasing titles for the system at that point.

The retro gaming collector's market is pretty crazy these days. There's a subreddit for this on Reddit that I follow, mainly to see some of the cooler things that people find. It's funny to see how prices have bounced around for some of the console failures. I remember seeing Virtual Boys for $25. Definitely not anymore.
I can honestly say I don't miss a lot of the old systems and games I let go of, but there's definitely a couple that I wish I still had the day.
I had a pretty nice library of SNES games, but I lost the system and almost every game due to a messy break up with an ex-girlfriend. I can't entirely say she stole it all from me, since I kept it all at her apartment, but when we broke up almost the first thing she said to me was "you're never getting your games back."
I also miss a lot of my PlayStation 1 library. Those games escaped me for a lot of reasons, but I had just about every rare jRPG that ever came out, and there's quite a few I wouldn't mind playing again today. For whatever reason I've been thinking about playing Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete a lot lately. Really would like to go back to that and give it another playthrough.
I really miss the stuff by Working Designs for the PS1 and Saturn. They really put out a quality package bringing some Japanese games out to the rest of the world. Had some nice instruction manuals with embossed covers and what not.
I don't remember if they released Lunar on the PS1 in a standard set, but when I got it I purchased the collector's edition that was out and I was really impressed. Collector's editions were very uncommon to see, and the presentation really was nice. Made it feel like the game was even more special than it was.
I put 5 hours into Doom 3 PS4 since yesterday morning. I haven't played Doom 3 since the original Xbox version in 2005. I bought it on a $2 sale a while back. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. Doom 2016 is certainly a better game but I prefer the slower pace of Doom 3.

I've only played a few minutes of the game. I think thatll be my next game on the Series S when I get time.

I've been playing Puzzle Figher HD, Dr Mario 64, DKC Tropical Freeze.
I also played the first 15 minutes of Majora's Mask. This game is so odd.
I remember being stuck on that first 15 minutes for ages. I couldn't manage to beat the first test to un-deku Link.
Pfft! Who doesn’t know that?
You'd think the Jaguar was a current gen system considering it's $300+ used price it goes for these days.
Thanks for the heads up. Just put one on pre-order.
I wish I had kept all my games and systems that I had over the years. What I miss most is the SNES, Neo-Geo, and Turbo-grafx stuff.
