Speaking of which I tried filming my first proper video today and it was hell. Didn't help that I had no sleep the night before. Spent a couple of hours messing with camera settings before realising everything would look different once I close the curtains and set up the lights.
After that I spent about 3 hours of setting up, framing shots and packing everything away. To film about 30 seconds of footage.
The reason I wanted to do this was because I enjoyed writing the comedy-and I'd like to enjoy what I do rather than mundane work.
Having to set up lighting and backgrounds and deal with audio problems, mic adaptors. Fucking around with things I never heard of before like apertures and shutter speeds, ISO etc. Getting the bit rate and resolution settings. Setting the freaking white balance..
It's sucking the will to live out of me.
If I only had more space to just leave everything set up I'd be fine.
By the time I've finished setting everything up, Im so exhausted I can barely string a thought together, let alone memorise and perform a routine.
Guys just subscribe to Switch UP and Switch Corner on YouTube.
Switch UP does a video every Sunday evening of the best games on sale that week.
Switch Corner does two sales videos a week, one is super budget.
This is how I own over 100 games on switch now.
Sounds nice, but honestly it would be of zero use to me. At this point in my life, I know exactly what games I want to play. Lack of time is what holds me back more. That in a continued frustration with myself for buying games that I don't get around to. I'm still sitting on a copy of Persona Strikers that I picked up 6 months ago and I continually get mad at myself or even pulling the trigger on it.
I played the shit out of them and I bet if I went back to them today I would not remember a thing. So, I don't know how you kill your brain cells, but you are not doing a good enough job.
My brain is pretty worthless. I remember things of absolutely no value, like most of the twists in Phoenix Wright games, but when it comes time to take medication in the morning or remember to buy mustard... Yeah, I got nothing.
You get to see and hear what the games look and sound like. They don't just list games, they describe what's good and bad about the games.
And they also have reviews you can go and watch if you want more info.
Ive discovered and bought so many good games because of videos like that. And if you want a more objective view, do what I do and watch the videos from several different sites. It's not a chore to me, it's how I absorb games info these days. And nabbing an excellent game at a super cheap price is glorious.
I’ll have to pass. Like Robio I know what I want so not really interested in hearing someone else’s reviews and what not. I just hate having to scroll through all the games because there’s a lot of stuff in there that I’m not interested in and most of it seems to always be in there.
Got Pathfinder: Kingmaker on steam last night. It's basically the game I was confused didn't already seem to already exist. While there are plenty of games based on DnD, there was a gaping hole waiting to be filled of taking all the tabletop RPG rules and using them verbatim in a videogame. The build is all there in this. Some of the UI seems clunky. Have to get further to see how it plays in practice. Though I do have an initial critique which is if I choose a Knife Master Rogue when building a character, maybe start me with a knife.

They will show you games that you "know you want" by simply seeing them in action.
And introduce games you've never heard of that you will know you want by seeing it in action.
The sales videos aren't long or hard to watch, they'll show a game, describe it and why they like it in 20 seconds then move onto the next game.

Sorry but it’s still a pass for me. I’m not looking for any opinions and don’t need to see any games in action or anything. I’m not looking for any hiddden gems or anything.
I check out SwitchUp every so often. My problem isn't finding new games to play, it's playing the ones I already own. Games only seem to hold my attention for very short periods of time these days like 30 minutes or so. It's rare that I play for more than that in one sitting.

I actually cant believe how much I am enjoying the Game Pass. I'm sure there will be a time soon when theres not enough games that I havent played and I will be a little bored. Not at the moment.
I have no idea what either of those two games are. Or is that just one game?
Redfall is some kind of vampire like multiplayer shooting game by Arkane. They showed a CGI cinematic trailer last year at E3 I believe. I think it was just said that it would release sometime in 2022.
Starfield is the big one. It’s that big space game by Bethesda. Some, myself included, are thinking and hoping that it’ll be essentially Skyrim in space. They haven’t really shown much of anything on it but it’s been in the works for a number of years. They did give a specific date of 11/11/22 for it. It was going to be Microsoft’s big holiday game this year.

Breaking news: I saw a PS5 in a store today. They were selling them only in a bundle with 2 additional controllers and 2 games.
It's so rare for anyone to spot a PS5 in the wild, an unexplained mystery. I believe the PS5 is a new cyptid, able to allude most everyone.

Are you still enjoying your Series S?
Its been collecting dust lately.

Redfall and Starfield have been delayed until the first half of next year. Kind of surprised by Starfield’s delay.
