Finished playing through Bayonetta again for the umpteenth time. Played the Xbox One version from the Bayonetta/Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle. Such a damn fun game and ridiculously epic and over the top. Driving up a rocket as it’s shooting off into space, punching a huge god boss sending it hurtling into the sun, then smashing up a giant statue as you re-enter Earth’s atmosphere. Crazy fun. Hope Bayonetta 3 comes out this year.
Started playing Vanquish and another crazy fun game. Played through it before on the 360. Really would love to see a sequel for this someday.
I'm still playing New Pokemon Snap. I finished the game, but there's a lot of end game content. Nintendo did an amazing job adding features that keep you engaged and going back for one more run on each level. The whole game is really exceeded my expectations. I think I put in 10 hours at this point, and probably have a couple more in me.
I must be more than twenty hours in and still haven't finished the main game. I wasn't expecting the game to be this expansive.

Yeah, I was very surprised how much content they squeezed into this game. Plus, it's one of those games that you can return to a year later and pretty much enjoy it all over again. No shortage of replay value here.
I had to stop gaming yesterday afternoon. I have mild tendonitis in both wrists for about 20 years now; gamepad gaming normally doesn't cause me any pain, but I sure felt it last night. Still do this morning too. My sister told me it's because I'm old.

Yeah, I have pains in my left hip from time to time. My wife tells me it's because of age. Nonsense I told her. My right hip is just as old and it never hurts.
My dog's vet called me today. Apparently February is National Pet Dental month and they forgot to give me my 10% discount last Friday, so they refunded me $52! 🐶👍
It's not strictly speaking Rogue like. The things you unlock are additions to the gungeon.
And you either have to buy whatever is in stock or rely on receiving a good item or gun through a random locked chest. Keys are hard to find and you have to buy some.
So you're in this constant push and pull as to what chest to open, what item to buy etc.
You don't get permanent armour, ability or health upgrades.
So you have some runs where the game is clearly being good to you and other ones where you get shit items.
One of the only ways to increase your health bar on a per session basis is to beat each boss without taking a single hit.

Dog: “I don’t think that I’m feeling too well.”
Owner: “Sorry but you’re just going to have to wait until February.”
All new Mario Kart 8 tracks will be playable online, even if you didn't pay for the DLC.
I wonder how this will work. Will everyone be forced to download all 48 tracks, regardless of if you want them or not? What with people who don't have enough free space left? I understand the reasoning for keeping a level playing field with a unified pool of players, but this seems rather cumbersome.

Who wouldn't want them? That's just crazy talk. I think it would be more cumbersome for online players to be separated by whether or not they have the DLC.

I'm still playing Red Dead Redemption. The game is still visually stunning after all these years.
Still The Good Life and Metroid Dread.

But in all seriousness, that sucks.
This is what I say when someone tells me something is happening because I’m getting old.
Limbo is £0.89 and Inside is £1.79
Worth it? Looks slow and arty (annoying)
Xcom 2 collection is like $4.
Worth it? I'm not sure I'm into tactics games anymore.
Still trying to get better at Gungeon.

Tough stuff. But addictive and enjoyable.
That’s what I tell them because I can’t hear a damn thing anymore.

Limbo should be avoided at any price. Maybe if someone is paying you to play it I could half heartedly recommend it.
