Sorry to hear you got the COVIDs, but glad you're vaxxed and you're going to be scared the brunt of it. Still boggles my mind how many people refuse to get that damn vaccination.
I've also been playing a lot of Stardew Valley on switch. Funny thing is that I owned it on PC for a long time but never felt like playing it, even though the modding scene makes it a breeze to iron out any possible kink. The pick up and play and portable nature of the switch changed that in a second. I'm close to 80 hours in just a few weeks and I'm not planning to stop anytime soon with the amount of stuff this game has. It's just another reason why I like the switch so much these days.
That was somewhat similar to me with Stardew Valley. I liked it well enough on the PS4, but did give up on it after the first year of the game. But when I got it on my tablet, it was almost impossible to put down.
Kind of surprising for me too, as I used to greatly prefer the console versions to the handheld Harvest Moons. But I suppose nothing really is sacrificed with handhelds anymore.
I tested postive for Covid-19. I found out this morning. Being fully vaccinated obviously didn't prevent it, but it may have helped ease my symptoms. Feels like a severe sinus cold with headaches and dry cough. Daily headaches started 11 days before the sinus and cough symptoms began. I never had a fever; I checked daily. All of my symptoms are fairly mild so far today, so maybe I'm near the end of it.
Yeah good thing you got vaccinated. Get well soon.
I’m currently playing ReCore. It’s not really all that bad of a game, certainly nothing great though either. It’s fun enough though and the gimmick of switching your weapon depending on the colour of the enemy keeps you into the gameplay.

Well, the good news is your vaccinated and it sounds like you're nearing the end of it!
Fingers crossed for you, but I'm sure you'll be fine.
Took a break with the Wii for a while and started BioShock Remastered. Beautiful game but didn't quite grab me when I played it 10 years ago. Time for a second try.
Been playing this adventure game, it's a sequel. Game is super dark, you play as this innocent little girl at an orphanage. Only people die around you, or your actions lead to the death of people. But in her mind she sees the dead bodies covered in pink slime with a fairy tending to them. And she continues with life as though nothing has happened. 🤨
75hz or fps seems a bad choice. You need it to be a multiple of common fps. 60 can do 30 and 60 well. 120 can do 30, 40, 60, 120.
Not sure why you'd need 75fps. That means that for 60 fps every 5th frame would need to be a double, resulting in uneven frame pacing
Does not compute. My mind does not get it. So can a 1080p 75hz monitor do 60fps 1080p games? I have no PC and have no gaming device capable of doing anything above 60fps.

Let me know how that goes, I've been mulling over a sale cut purchase.
As per my understanding a monitor will give you the same amount of frames every second regardless of what fps the console or graphics card is rendering. It'll just show some frames multiple time to fill in the blanks. Because of that 30fps is perfectly feasible on a 60fps screen, every frame gets shown twice. On a 75fps screen the maths don't work out. Some frames will be shown twice, others thrice. Because of that the frame time interval isn't even. Not everyone notices such small deviations (I know I sure don't) but some people do pick up on this.
In short, screens with a fps that's a multitude of 30 are better.

I thought it would just output whatever framerate the console output? 🤨
This is what the blurb says: Perfect companion for casual gaming on a 27” display, with 75 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms MPRT response time and FreeSync. Experience rich, vivid and accurate colours on the monitor’s IPS panel
FreeSync
The AMD FreeSync Technology ensures that the GPU’s and monitor’s refresh rates are synchronised, which provides a smooth, tear free gaming experience. You will appreciate the low input lag if you’re looking for the best quality visuals in fast paced games.

So does that only work if you are using a AMD graphics card in a PC? Would the 144hz monitor be better? It's £50 more but I'm already budget constrained.
60/120 is best if it's for console games only, so that it supports 30/60 nicely. However, a little screen tearing never killed anyone, and may not even occur.
The range of refresh rates supported by the standard is based on the capabilities reported by the display. FreeSync can be enabled automatically by plug and play, making it transparent to the operating system and end user. FreeSync is not limited to only AMD graphics cards

But what about consoles? Damnit, I cancelled my order. Now I don't know what to buy.

wait, what? I could get screen tearing?? Why do I see so many 75hz monitors?

You should be playing The Ascent.

Do you own infinite as well? Great games.
What’s that?

^144hz would have the same problem.

Feels like I stumbled into the Digital Foundry forums.
