My son bought Skyward Sword so I guess I'll get around to it one day. I'm playing through GTAV and I'm finally having fun with it. When I played it years ago, I felt something was missing. It's really good but I couldn't shake the feeling. I realized it was me, not the game. Life changes. I had my second kid and lacked the time to really put into it. Now, I'm having fun.
Speaking of fun, Microsoft Flight Simulator looks next Gen and is just so relaxing to play. I've barely scratched the surface when it comes exploration. I'm still checking out places I've been to and have known my whole life. So good.
Tried out The Ascent and well, it’s ok I guess. Game looks quite good and really nails that cyberpunk aesthetic but the gameplay just hasn’t caught my interest much. May keep trying for a bit but I may just move on.
I'm going to just say that I explored Hyrule much more thoroughly, soaking in the world before heading over to Hyrule Castle. Time spent and hearts earned in no way correlates to any level of skill. In. No. Way.
Another game I've started twice and never finished. Did the same with Ocarina.Ugh I know the feeling. I just had 3 weeks off from work and I still didn't get any decent game time in.
I don't get that anymore though, my assumption being that stress levels remain high even during vacation these days.
Almost. Took Odin down to 2cm of his health bar. Can easily beat him with my god powers just busy with other games. Not sure I can beat Sundered final boss yet.I haven't read any, but as fas as I've gathered from the limited pop culture I've been exposed to, they focus around monstrous amorfous deity beings that govern time and space and simply knowing of their existence could drive someone insane as our simple minds can't cope with their existance.
Of course, I could be totally mistaken.
You can clearly see the black pixel representing his eyes. He's looking to the left and it's right next to his big nose!
Am I crazy or were there Oblivion Cthulhu bits? And despite having super fast Internet over 32mbps Switch is saying 20gb Bioshock Infinite Complete will take 15 hours to download??
You're not far off. At least with most of his stories. There's a reoccurring theme that humanity is young, and simple-minded, and we can't grasp everything else that's out there.... And we probably should just give up even trying. Insanity, depression, and anxiety are interwoven with the occult and great elder Gods from other worlds and other times and most of his stories are written in that you can decide what side is ultimately real.
Anyway, I'm a tremendous fan of lovecraftian horror, but I will admit I've never really enjoyed most of his writing. Very dry and over descriptive often. The guy loved his details, but I believe that was a standard of the time.
I wouldn't really compare his writing to Poe, but a lot of people do say they have to be in the mood to read him, similar to the way they have to be in the mood to read Poe.
another writers work always referenced in gaming and tv/movies. What's the general jist of his work? I thought he did poetry? Edit - Gibbous is all about Cthulhu and cults and stuff. It's a good game and pretty funny. Best moment is playing as this hard boiled detective. This hip teenage girl asks him a question and you have several options to respond. The one I picked had him confessing that he could only listen to smooth 70s jazz and then went on a diatribe about how he couldn't get other various genres which he berated. At the time he'd snuck into a town festival dressed as an occultist. It was hilarious, I recorded the video.Ba-dum tsssss
