I finally got around to trying out the Last Story. Finished the first chapter, and even at this point I'm very very impressed with the battles. Unfortunately, I'm going to need a new nunchuck or a classic controller if I'm going to keep playing. The attack mechanism is mapped to "up" on the nunchucks analog stick, and I guess just due to age it doesn't move very well anymore.
Syberia 3 looks great in handheld mode. I guess playing on a giant 4ktv is a step too far. It actually looks like it was made for 720p. There's the odd blurry texture that the camera focuses on at the wrong time. But most graphical glitches or low detail is barely visible on the switch screen. I only turned it on to see what it looked like and spent over an hour on it. It actually reminded me of The Raven Remastered and I was greatly enjoying it. Glad I bought it.
I bought an $90 8bitdo wireless arcade stick (Switch, PC) yesterday. I've been playing a lot of old arcade beat em ups and NeoGeo shooters lately, and I wanted a more authentic arcade feel. Joystick as well built, surprisingly heavy, and has lots of configuration options. Since it works on both switch and PC, it'll be getting a lot of use from me.
It's so hot here. The cat has gone awol. What's worse is hearing gutteral screams of an animal that I can't identify. I don't know if it's her and I can't see shit. At first I thought it was kids pissing about but it's definitely an animal in pain or being attacked.
Couldn't see anything without going onto other people's property. She showed up though, inside the house. She has a secret hiding place. And never comes when called so you never know if she's in or not 😑
Anyway, really enjoying Syberia 3. Yes it's graphically sub par, but everything else is entirely consistent with what the first two games were. I really don't get the complaints. There are a few off choices in the voice acting department, but if you can get over it there's a decent adventure game here. Thankfully free of the overly complex and not explained mechanical puzzles which bogged down Syberia 2.
^Maybe I'll get around to play Syberia 3 after all. I was really disappointed in 2, though, and everyone likes 3 even less.

The negative about having the game pass is that I get distracted with having so many games. I don't want to focus on just one. I'm eagerly anticipating Microsoft Flight Simulator. It looks incredible.

Yeah same here. Hopefully I’ll settle into a groove after awhile when I’ve played through some of the games.

That's a relief.
what didn't you like about Syberia 2? I found the mechanical puzzles were too much - for me using a control stick to do. And the areas were so big and running around them was tiring with an analogue stick. Towards the end of the game I realised that I could switch to the touch screen and have hot spots highlighted. This solved virtually every problem I had. I could see the entry and exit points in those vast Yukol ice caves and I could click with wild abandon on the mechanical puzzles which made things a lot easier. Also click and she runs by herself. Hallelujah!
Godamn Jotun, some of the bosses are a pain in the ass simply because the camera zooms out so far. I've found myself caught on a bosses feet - when she's clearly floating. Hit by infantesibly small lightning bolts. And hit by lightning because the soft lighting warning you gets lost against all the other effects and glowing lightning at the same time.
Been just playing some Phantasy Star Online 2 New Genesis and some Halo: The Master Chief Collection multiplayer online lately.
I saw you and considered inviting you to join our Co-op.
Tencent are getting too much of too many fingers in too many pies.
Agreed also.
Sweet.
Have you tried to find where the sound is coming from?
