I heard that an appartment building collapsed in Miami.  Vader, hope you're safe and my condolences to the relatives of the many people that will have died.  What a stupid way to go.

For me personally the N64 was a great console.  Everything was new and exciting.  I don't see how anyone can bemoan a lack of quality games for it.

  • first smash bros
  • 1080° snowboarding (still the best snowboarding game to date)
  • pokémon stadium, bringing pokémon in 3D for the first time
  • Majora's Mask

  • diddy kong racing

N64 was great. Controller stick getting stiff was annoying though. Many happy memories playing Perfect Dark whilst my bro was trying to sleep. Bullets keeping him awake. Playing Goldeneye together. All Rares games. Body Harvest etc.

I liked the N64 about the same as their following systems. NES and SNES were better. So many great games on N64. Pilotwings 64, Mario 64, Wave Race, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, SF Rush series, F-zero X, Doom, Quake, Zelda etc.

So I started Firewatch. This might be another one of those games I don't get. It's impossibley ugly on switch. Blurry and an inconsistent frame rate. Thankfully I turned on my Mclassic and it cleaned things up to an extent. Controls are, errr muddled. Never has reading a map been such a pain in the ass. Bad maps are one of the things that are game killers to me. The male voice actor is terrible, he just sounds like an always irritated douche. I also don't get these games that don't ever want to show you another human character model. It just leaves awkward interactions.

Enjoying it a bit more now that some plot is developing. Wish you could jump and climb in a more free form manner. The invisible walls and visible ones are a touch annoying. Not much to do but nice atmosphere.

Flipping cops! I had footage of this bell end BMW driver cutting me off, went to submit the footage but the page says they need 2 minutes before and two minutes after. My cam does 3 min loops and I deleted the footage after. Ridiculous!

Don't know anyone there but it's a horrible tragedy. I really hope it's not due to corruption and cutting costs on construction, our city is very corrupt.

You know what I'm looking forward to? Paper Mario 64 and The Thousand Year door played via Mclassic. The videos on YouTube make it look more like the HD games.

I came close to getting a PS5, but it was not meant to be. Best had a new shipment and when I after I put it in my cart, it asked me to choose a store for pickup.  None of the stores that I chose had it so the site took it out of my cart.   I lost a PS5...or never really had a chance to get one in the first place.

The Switch sale ends tommorow. I'm going to pick up another couple of games today. Nabbed Dust an Elysian Tale and Enigmatis Ghosts of Maple Creek.

Firewatch complete. It was okay, overall, pretty decent. Sometimes I think some games sell on curiosity. Games where you don't really know what it is and you go in to find out. And you're either disappointed or pleasantly surprised. This was okay and worth playing. Pretty decent. I briefly started playing Dust:An Elysian Tale. It looks gorgeous, can't believe the game is near 8 years old or something. Because most indies are making pixel art games these fluidly animated games really stand out. It looks like a living cartoon and is animated so well. Will come back to it at a later date. I've also been playing Darkestville Castle, got it on sale but it still cost twice what I thought it would. Really love it so far, there's a demo on the eshop. It feels like what a Lucasarts graphic adventure game would be like if made today.

I am going to grab Dust, Alien Isolation and the two Metro games.

Also Monster Boy is discounted too and it reviewed better than Dust. So buy it!
