This was just a hodgepodge of random gaming. Played some arcade games in Capcom Arcade Stadium. A bit of Doom Eternal. Hopped into Astral Chain for a quick mission. Tried out some old school Fire Emblem with that NES game Nintendo ported to the Switch. Played a round of Pac-Man 99. Checked out the Project Triangle demo.
Ah Jesus. Tried playing Gamecube games through Wii on a 1080i/720p TV using mclassic. It doesn't work, at all. Most games were 480i, in Europe our games weren't often 480p compatible. I checked the Internet there are pal60 games, there's a trick to getting progressive scan enabled by holding down B on certain game start up screens. No matter what I did all I got was a crappy 480i jaggy image. You need an hdmi adapter that can force video output via Gamecube at 480p and these things cost £70. What's worse is that playing GC games on wii kicks the system into an interlaced image and often the mclassic disables itself so you have to unplug it, go back to wii settings and set it to 480p. Totally ridiculous.
What's worse? I was planned on playing virtual consoles games on wii via mclassic. There's no image, just a blank screen. So the only option is to keep my crt or transfer everything to wii u and play... on a 4ktv where everything looks like ass. Im wondering if mclassic will even work with n64 now as it doesn't output a decent resolution image. I already ordered a hyperkin cable set for n64/Gamecube which it says outputs to 720p. So maybe that will work with GC through the mclassic. But who knows at this point. I'm starting to think my collection of old games and dvds are becoming a useless burden and more hassle than it's worth (thanks to TV resolutions) and I should just get rid of them. We'll, at least I can play Wii in HD with a fairly good standard picture quality.

That's what the big companies want us to do. I'm keeping my 1080p TV until it dies. Fuck 4K.
Speaking of games you've played, Supreme, I played Genesis Noir.
I'd tease podcast impressions if we were likely to record ever again, but at this rate we'll reach the big crunch long before then, so I'll just say i found it to be rather trite. But I did appreciate the scientist puzzle, the jazz jam session, the dancing at the end and killing all the billionaires escaping a dying earth with black holes.

Yeah, I'm not sure what to think of it either, other than that as a full package it's rather unique. I enjoyed it for it's graphical style and outlandish concept.
I'm afraid I haven't played much of anything recently. We had family come in for the weekend and they're here until tomorrow, and I am too tired to even look at a controller... Damn shame too, because I have all those free games from Sony to play still.
Aside from the obligatory MonHun in which we got our ass handed to us by the next endgame beast, I played Tetris99 and the opening of ME Andromeda (read: I waited for it to install and then went to bed).

Just wait until you get to Fatalis. The endgame beast to end all endgame beasts.

Pfffft. I eat Fatalis' for breakfast. Or at least I did in Monhun 4. Now I have to drag my co-op buddy along, who is a bit like a glass cannon. And I say a bit, because he ends up carting a lot, but doesn't actually do much damage either.

Don’t know how he compares to his Monhun 4 incarnation but he’s a carting machine in this game.
I now own 8 Artifex Mundi games. Grim Legends 3 wasn't great. Demon Hunter was actually one of the better ones but the story was bleh. Started DarkSide Detective 2,its a bit harder than the first game. With Dooly gone, Raxa is your partner which seems weird. So far it isn't as funny as the first. I'm only on case 1 though.
Kind of a random question, but does anyone have a good fishing game to recommend? Nothing too realistic like the Rapala games, but just something chilling relaxing like maybe Fishing Resort for the Wii.
This weekend I'm learning how to be a samurai in Ghost of Tsushima. What about you?

Taking my last screenshots in Cyberpunk 2077.
I'm finally finished with it now.
Have not played anything in two weeks. ARRGGGHH!
Looking at games beaten this year, not a great start:
Wish I could give you more than 1 +1
Started playing Yokus Island Express. Pretty creative platformer with pinball elements. Free on Amazon Prime games.
Underselling, it. Very clever concept.
They deserve it.
I played it short after it was released. It's a very charming and enjoyable little game

Definitely going to check out that Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary stream on the 27th.
