Yup.  Of course, no one will be able to reach Australia in a small inflatable dingy because it's only just too far to reach swimming.

The UK doesn't have quarantine procedures? (Of course if your refugee policy is burying your head in your beaches' sand, which must be pretty painful on English ones, then I suppose it could potentially make things like quarantine awkward.)

In any case, there are non-island countries that have successfully dealt with Covid-19.

Oh but they do.

Thanks to Brexit the queues to enter or leave the UK will soon have grown so long it'll take you 2 weeks to even cross the border.

A truly visionary policy, after all! Years ahead of its time.

It's still better than Florida's policy of "It's all a hoax. It doesn't exist. We will throw you in the gulag if you put a mask on."

After a very busy period professionally, it's finally starting to look as if I'll manage to finish off all the work that is due before Christmas.

To celebrate this tipping point I went on a date with someone who I have been neglecting over the last few weeks: Mionster Hunter World's Glavenus.  I managed to squeeze in one hunt yesterday evening, which bagged me all the materials I still required to upgrade both my hammer and switchblade.  It was quite the satisfying climax.  yes

Eurogamer is having a survey about possibilities for a paid membership.  Lots of questions about 'exclusive content'.

When you read the comments it's clear a lot of people would be willing to chip in on a monthly basis if it means no ads and no cookie crap and that no one wants a paywall.

Yeah, real nice.... Except for bothering to use a hammer of course. I suppose that's automatically understood though.

Speaking of Monster Hunter, the movie for it comes out this weekend. Has anyone seen the trailer? It looks like utter trash. That said, I'm still kind of curious.

Wow, reading the Cyberpunk article, it literally won't stop crashing. And they released it.

Cars fall out of the sky.  Guns never materialize.  It's a mess.  There's nothing that's really stopping me from enjoying it but yeah, it's a mess.

Well know you come a few steps closer and tell that to my face.  A few steps closer still...  just. within. reach. of. my. hammer.  devil

Besides, I am beginning to think that your talk of playing monster hunter is pure hokum.  I have read through our prior debates on the topic of suitable monster mashing perhiperals and not once have you stated what weapons you utilize!  Or do you purport to slay them purely with the vile venom of your tongue?
