Also, my original Switch is really falling apart.  I've had some serious issues with all my joycon (which I haven't sent in to be fixed) and there's also some severe syncing problems going on.  I played 2 games of Tetris99 and had to pop out the controllers and press the shoulder buttons 5 times!

Note to self: wait until the next real hardware revision comes along before buying a switch.

It's a sad stat of affairs.  Nintendo hardware used to be neigh indistructible.  My WiiU has died on me and the Switch, while a great piece of tech, has really let me down in the durability compartment.

I'm really disappointed with how the joycons have turned out.  They are not durable at all which is a problem considering how often they are removed from the Switch to be played with.

Send them in. So glad I got mine repaired. You lose a week. Of play but it didn't cost me anything and having working controllers feels great.

So I just read PS5 and Xbox... X is £450 in the UK? Wtf? Ps4 was £350 at launch. Gotta be a rich kid to own a console these days.

Been playing the Mario Trilogy. Mario 64, whoa, this game deserves a remake, the graphics are.... 😬 But still amazing how well Mario still controls. Sunshine looks great in HD and has a great moveset. Also like the setting, it's somewhat unique. Then booted up Mario Galaxy omg! Still amazing, looks like a modern day game in HD. Controls like a dream and the planetoid concept is still mind blowing.

thank the Pro and Xbox X for that. They moved public opinion towards thinking €500 isba good price for a console.

So I just spent 3 hours playing Mario Odyssey with a 5 year old. 😅. Omg I need to rest. He loved it though. Played more of 3d all stars last night. Mario Galaxy is so good it makes 64 and Sunshine look bad. Its literally like stardust, controls and looks like a dream and is constantly wowing you through either visual spectacle or devilish design.

I know some gamers who heard the price and said "nope" but they don't want to get the cheaper versions.

Super Mario Sunshine is just as fun and difficult as I remembered.  It's by far the most difficult 3D Mario ad feels almost punishing me at times.  Find those 1-up mushrooms because you will be replaying certain sections over and over again.  As far as the level design, it certainly feels quite different from other 3D Mario's.  The camera is still Mario's enemy (very much like 64) but it's not as bad as I remembered it to be.  Maybe it was tweaked a bit.

Galaxy rocks with the Pro controller.  It's the best controller I've ever used.  I just love the feel of it.

Sunshines camera hasn't changed. Its actually a very good camera but all manual. No automatic swapping to ideal angles. The problem is depth perception and shadows.

Tried out some Mario Sunshine and it seems ok to me. Those voiced cutscenes though. Yikes! Also tried some Galaxy and it looks great. Plays great with the Pro controller as well.
