It's fine, just a challenging game. Well, it does have some cheap ass moments with villains.

I did not want Mario Allstars 3D until I saw this long explanation of what the differences are between the original and and re-releases.

Finished Deadly Premonition 2.  Wrapped up a lot faster than I was expecting. Last 2-3 hours of the games are a monotonous slgo though.

Mario Galaxy sometimes looks better than Mario Odyssey to me. It runs at a higher resolution both docked and offscreen. So it looks sharper and the colours really pop. The art style is timeless too. As is Mario Sunshine, these games hold up so well compared to realistic graphics from the GC era.

The Digital Foundry video is very cool, though it's disappointing what is lacking in 3D All Stars.

Seems like I'm the only one who didn't buy SMA3D... I've been playing Hollow Knight of course.

I didn't buy it either. That really would have been quite silly since I don't have anything to play it on. Then again, I did just enter a contest to win a download code for Rune Factory 4 on the Switch.

I haven't been playing much of anything this week. I had to put down Devil Survivor because I got too hard, and then tried Devil Survivor 2, which is just a touch easier but it's just not nearly as good of a game.

What a week, ok let's start with PS5. The presentation was fantastic, FF16!!!! Demons souls is stunning! Miles looks to have excellent combat. RE8 mini preview is nice. GoW 5 coming next year. The Hogwarts game is awesome. Just great game after great game. The price is as expected.

Then came the post game shit show. Preorders go up randomly causing chaos. I managed to snag a few of them, for me and family, so I think I'm ok but I want one from Best Buy to make sure I can pick it up day one. Then came the news that practically all PS5 games are coming to PS4 even though they made a fuss about believing in generations. Spider man does not get a free upgrade you have to pay extra for a SE of Miles to get it. It's just a shitty look to see them go back on so much they promised.

I did get Mario collection, Mario 64 such a lazy port but it's so old that even though it's not widescreen, not true HD and not 60fps it still looks so clear compared to the OG that it works. Sunshine does not look good though. It just looks meh. Galaxy though OMG it's perfect!!! Stunning! So it's worth it to play the best game. And the controllers work so well mimicking the Wiimote, it controls like a dream. What fantastic games, I'm playing 64 right now and it's still better than most games.

I am also playing Panzer Dragoon Saga before I sell it. It's still great, what a fantastic combat system for an RPG. They kept all the elements that make PD exciting and put it into turn based mode. The worlds you visit are very crude, it is the Saturn but it at least looks like classic PD levels. Story is well done. One of the best RPGs of that era.

I kind of had mixed feelings on Final Fantasy 16, though I'm sure it will grow on me. I am very happy to see the series return to more of a high fantasy/medieval setting after so many years of steam/cyber punk hybrids and the more modern day setting of FFXV. The combat looks a little too....combatty if that makes any sense.

Yeah it’s really looking like a character action game for sure. I want to see more and am really hoping to see some RPG elements in there.

Playing all 3 of the Mario's it finally clicked what bugs me most about Sunshine. Mario's movement is very twitchy with small movements of the stick,he will lurch forward or back 2m. I was playing one of the stages where you are FLUDD LESS and thought, if it controlled as good as Mario Galaxy I'd have no problem here.

I'm with Vader on Galaxy Wii controls. I love it, rolling the ball about, racing the manta. Using the pointer to drag Mario around blue stars. Still feels so good.

Yep, agree about the movement.  Mario seems to be a little slippery and areas that should be a blast become infuriating.  I never felt that way about Galaxy.  Plus, there's almost always something obstructing your view.  A palm tree, a block, something.
