I think games on the Xbox Series X will be pushed just fine myself. I’m not a software engineer but they should be pretty easy to scale it down to the Xbox Series S.
Yeah there are , no PC game did anything the current gen consoles couldn't handle because they were stuck in that generation. Sure they can get great visual enhancements but the core games were current gen games, they never dared try next gen stuff.

Sims of all sorts, online gaming of all sorts, RTS, FPS, RPG, puzzle, hell, arguably even horror, have all done things gameplay-wise in advance of consoles.
In any case, what generational advances in terms of gameplay have consoles had since the PS3/60 era? Because at least sim-wise, PC has been continuing to improve in terms of gameplay. But yes, pretty much all else is dead. (Which isn't the result of a lack of computing power.)

I'll say it again: series S and X share the same cpu. Difference is gpu and ram. Gameplay wise the series S won't be holding devs back.
Seriously don't know about paying $750 for an Xbox at launch. PS4 is likely going to be $800. I could do some serious upgrade or replacement of PC for that.
Put in contect for US members, a case of beer here is $65 bucks for a decent beer (like a sierra nevada or sam adams like beer).
Because the internet search is fucked and I cannot even access this information after trying what does a case of Sierra Nevad cost these days in the states? (24 bottles or 30 cans)?
vons grocery actively blocks non-us search requests (now, I cannot blame them I did the same when I ran a US only company's tech).
Did you guys see the Prince of Persia remake trailer? It's not doing it for me. Graphics average, everything else looks the same animation etc. I still have it on GC. Everything I could also say about the Mario collection, but I guess the original just wasn't that special in retrospect. It doesn't help that the Trine games, particularly playing as the thief already scratches the POP itch.
I'm pretty much done with Prince of Persia for now, very much like Assassin's Creed. The gameplay feels stagnant and not exciting enough to want to continue.
Yep. I am bored with all Ubi's games (except Trackmania).
So some key arkwork from No more heroes 3 has been done by the art director from The Boys that amazon superhero show. If Travis looks like this in game, fuck everything.
Today I have decided to return to one of my greatest failures, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. I have played this game a couple times over the years and each time I've been met with crushing defeat midway through the game. Boss battles that I can't overcome no matter how many times I try and how many strategies I attempt. To say this game has difficulty spikes is putting it mildly, and again that's also a very unfortunate trademark of the entire SMT series.
All that I said, I love everything about the game right up until that point. So after playing something as easy as Trials of Mana I think it's time for a challenge and Lord knows I don't think I've ever found something more challenging than this.
oh, and just to join into the other conversations, I don't think I've liked an Ubisoft game since....De Blob.
I started replaying Pop: Sands of Time (GCN) last night. I haven't played it in about 15 years or so. It still holds up quite well. I have forgotten a lot of it.

PoP: Sands of Time HD PS3 remaster is still available for purchase on PSN, so I bought it. It's much improved visually over the Gamecube, plus it's in widescreen. And it has HD Bloom!
I also bought the Beyond Good and Evil HD remaster too. It's been a very long time since I played last played it.
I was desperately trying to remember the real name of Xbox Scorpio. Xbox One X. Jesus Christ. Now we have Xbox Series X and xb1 S and Xbox Series S, which is actually less powerful that xb1 X. And people found Wii U hard to understand? Who the hell at Microsoft thought these names were a good idea?

Finally a new Kid Icarus game.

That Immortals Fenyx Rising game looks great. Do want.
The Immortals game does look great. Pretty smooth animation.

I question your use of the word "finally".
I'm being shitty here, but that remake just looks bad. Just port the thing and upgrade the controls.

Last Ubi game I enjoyed was Farcry 3.
Agreed

Is there enough bloom?
Yes and it is glorious!

Xbox One. Xbox One S. Xbox One X. Xbox Series S. Xbox Series X. That’s the line-up of Xbox consoles that will be ‘active’ by the end of the year.
