The way how all these gaming conferences embrace or get embraced by social media boggles my mind a little bit. This evening I was screwing around looking at Tik Tok (fuck you, you can't judge me), and suddenly IGN's account was streaming the EA Days of Play conference. This is a service that shows videos that are no more than 1 minute in length. Even stranger is I don't follow IGN. They just decided it was appropriate to show me.
So is anybody looking forward to Catherine Full Body on Switch/has anyone played it on PS4?
I think I played the original about 2 years ago on Xbone back compat and absolutely loved it. I'll definitely be double dipping on Switch with the added content when it releases on the July 7th.
Speaking of Metroid like games! You should all be playing Monster Boy! It is one of the best Metroidvania's ever. Easily on the same level as Hollow Knight and Steam World Dig 2.
It had so much variety, clever puzzles and you can transform into a fricking dragon!
I'll make a poin to grab Monster Boy when it's on sale sometime. I've heard nothing but good things, but I've been moving away a bit from digital games until I get a larger hard drive for my PS4.

I really like the original, but it never felt like one of those games I wanted to replay. For whatever reason, the puzzles never really clicked with me and most of them I felt like I was beating because of luck rather than skill. Because of that I've stayed away from Full Body.

Having never played Catherine I am somewhat interested but it needs to be at a super low hobo price.
The Switch version will be launching at the hobofobic price of €49.99!
But honnestly the original still holds up very well, so if you haven't played it and own an Xbone, you can play it through back compat there. Or see if the PS4 version of the remaster has dropped in price by now.

yeah that's actually a great point. The new game provides more endings, and a new character, but honestly the original completely does the job. All that extra is for the people who like to replay the game many times over. Most people aren't going to even make it More than once or twice, so an original version, which you can find for the hobo-friendly price of $10 or less.

I'm still miffed that my final answer in the original playthrough completely tipped the balance and I ended up with an ending that didn't comply with how I had played the game.

RIP, Ian Holm. I just watched him as Ash the other day.

Well the guy was 88 years old.
It's still sad.
