“The Witcher 3 screens need inspection.”
Yep, it’s Witcher 3.
Are you 100% sure though?
I never ever got around to playing any of the Grandia games so I’m really looking forward to finally trying them out.
Konami is making a TurboGrafx-16 mini! 👍 I will very likely buy one.
Skyrim uses an old ass graphics engine. If I'm not mistaken, the same one they've been using since Oblivion and possibly even earlier. So maybe seeing as The Witcher is much more advanced they'd have to really rework things on Switch to make it look halfway decent. IDK.
I can't decide whether or not I'd want one. The TG-16 was almost a mythical beast in my eyes when it first came out. The games looked amazing and the few times I played one at a demo kiosk I was blown away. But I never knew anyone that actually had one so I never played any of those games for more than five minutes until they started releasing games on the Wii VC.
So the kid in me is dying to get this. The rational adult says who gives a fuck?
My brother and I had Genesis & SNES, but he had a friend who would buy all those underdog/expensive systems like TG16, Neo Geo...etc.
He was the type who would act like he knew better than you or was somehow superior because he didn't go with the popular stuff or he had the more impresssive tech....he almost reminded me of a hardcore PC fanboy actually. So every time he came over he would act all unimpressed by whatever we were playing and just brag on and on about the same few games that were worth playing on whatever he had. So I would always shut him up by saying Yeah, great...you have one fancy game. We have an entire shelf of stuff that you'll never have...we win!
He would leave trying to act confident but knowing the truth deep inside.
I had a TurboGrafx-16 and a Neo-Geo back in the day and yes I knew better and was superior to everyone else.
I wouldn’t mind getting a TG16 mini myself but this is Konami so I’m kind of wondering how they’ll fuck this up.
I would expect that game to get delayed. I get the impression it needs a lot more work & I doubt CDPR want to put out a turd.
You know what I would really like, is a Witcher Collection released with all the games remastered for console. The first game is one of my all time favs and it's only on PC.
Digital Foundry did a piece on porting the Witcher 3 to Switch a couple of days ago. Basically the engine scales nicely so, while there will be hurdles, mostly in the bandwith department, getting it running properly wouldn't require too much of effort.
I think you can't dismiss the fact that Skyrim is basically a 4 year older game than Witcher 3 and the latter was also very ambitious when it released. Also, Skyrim had been ported to nearly every device known to man before hitting Switch, so Bethesda would have had plenty experience with optimizing it for different configurations.

I've been eyeballing this game for a long time now. Completely forgot about it & didn't even realize it was at E3 since everyone seems to be overlooking it in favor of bigger games...thanks in no small part to THQ's own Alien at the end of this video. But I think it looks cool as hell. I'm hearing it's made by a small studio. It's a very ambitious game...reminds me of that old Rareware flavor mixed with a modern open world. No idea when it's coming out.
I'd like to see more golden age arcade games come back as long as they are done as well as Pac-Man CE series. A new Dig Dug, please!
You're dead to me.
I liked the rotating 2.5D level design.
I really enjoyed the first Torchlight game so it’s great to see the sequel finally making its way to consoles. Will definitely be getting this on September 3rd.
Got an email confirming that Bloodstained has gone gold & will be shipping soon!!!!!!!!!!!
