I could write paragraphs about it, but I feel that a line I heard from GAF long ago summarizes it perfectly. "No More Heroes 2 feels like a direct to video sequel to the original."
Pretty much anything that is multiplatform that can run on the Switch is released for it.
One of the site's forefathers.
I watched this and was very amused. Think I'm going to try it with my kid. Definitely going to get ugly.
It had 2 things working against it.
1. It was too quick of a follow-up to a game that arguably didn't really need a sequel. Everything that felt new and original in the original NMH didn't seem quite as cool the second time around.
2. The downtime of driving through the city and working side jobs to earn money was removed in favor of focusing soley on action and I think that threw off the game's pacing. The fighting and boss battles were the original's best part of the game, but I think it made the Desperate Struggle just too rapid fire for it's own good.
There was nothing wrong about it. For some reason Bugs and Sup don't like it. It was almost universally praised across the board in reviews as a much better game over the original. Better combat, visuals and no shitty overworld.
For the life of me I still cannot understand why people try to define the NMH games on the bosses only. Yes the bosses in the first game were better, but the rest of the game was fairly janky compared to the second.
I never opened my copy of NMH2.
NPD is out, PS4 leads units, switch in revenue, all over 1.3 million. RDR2 leads Pokémon would be 3 combined. They saw switch will have an epic December and take over PS4 YTD. The industry is a strong health my as ever, haven't seen these numbers since 2011.
MM announced the Dreams beta for tomorrow. If you signed up for their fucking newsletter?!?!?? Who the fuck did that. Assholes.
Or Endless Ocean?
Sounds like money well spent.
It does, lots of weird a capella stuff in the soundtrack.
That's about the best thing it has going for it, though.
I found that even before playing it, the fact that I bought it for the full 43 cents, was the best thing about it. That and its minimalistic graphical style.
So you loved both the minimalistic aesthetic and price.
Yes, but I'd rank them price first, with the aesthetic a close second.
Jesus! No I haven't played it lol. One day like 20 years from now I will play it and fulfill my promise.
