Yeah that Banksy stunt was really something. Didn’t anyone wonder why it was in such a large frame though?
A lot of people believe that the auction house was fully aware of what was about to happen specifically because of the frame. Given how heavy it was, they would have investigated it.
Oh and gamewise, I'm still plugging away at Dragon Quest 11 (85+ hours and still going). I'm also trying to force myself to play Layton's Mystery Journey. It's not good. The story is fine, but I'm not sure if the puzzles are bad or if the translations trying to explain them are bad, but whereas I used to love these brain teasers, now I loathe them.
I played some Splatoon2 yesterday. Didn't manage to win a single game.
Still enjoyed it though. For some reason I couldn't dominate with the Bloblobber like I could when I first used it. Checked online if it had been nerfed, but couldn't find anything on it, so it must have just been me. Bummer.
I beat that godamned Great Direwolf boss in Octopath Traveler.
That was one hell of a battle. I geared up and fine tuned my team just for that boss. It felt like I had to apply every trick in the book and some inventive workarounds to get him put down. Pretty epic. Even after the boss I was thinking about different ways I could have beat him.
So that's all shrines done, all characters done. Only thing left is that secret dungeon. I hear it has a series of epic boss battles with no saving in between. WTF??

I had two matches on AnchoV and it sucked. My team on both times had a disconnected player. I felt like I was playing Splatoon 1, only they fucked up the map.
Now you cannot use sniper rifles or gatlings because they have cut off line of site and there are no bottlenecks. So it's just another machine gun fest AGAIN.
So fucked up. So boring. I wish they would just leave the old maps alone. Dickheads just spammed autobombs all day long when you are trying to charge a gatling.
Now personally I don't know enough about Lovecraft (tentacles, horror) to really have an opinion on the matter, but the comments section is tearing the article apart because it is very shallow and opinionated and didn't even bother to give good arguments to support the author's claims.
Personally, I'm very happy with the response. I'm all for diverse features, but they are often poorly argumented and far from resembling journalism. I hope EG listens to the criticism, as they seem to have done in the past, because they also write wonderfull in depth features and it's a pitty that the overall quality is so inconsistent.

Oh joy...more political tear down the icons propaganda that people just can't get enough of today. I miss when games journalism was actually all about the passion of enjoying games. Though I'm not surprised at all by who wrote the article.
The only Lovecraft that made much of an impression on me was The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath. An uncut jewel of imagination.
As far as the racist content of his work is concerned, not only is it fundamental to the horror and ickiness, it is revealing. That’s just as good as subversion for the exploration of a subject, isn’t it? There's few works on or by racists that are as paranoid, sensuous, neurotic, desperate and pathetic. If an artist believes in an untruth, then the artist still succeeds in telling the truth if that art reveals why they do.
That was a big ass storm. I don't think it was anywhere near the Florida crew, and from what I hear it made landfall at the best possible place for minimum damage.
Yeah we're fine in Orlando. I didn't even get rain from this. Strangest weather pattern I've ever seen. Normally even if it's off the coast as it was we'd still get a couple inches of rain and wind.
Yeah, maybe a little closer if I could drive straight into the ocean to it.
Man dies in freak ocean accident
This morning locals in Orlando witnessed how a man with striking hair drove his car straight down the beach and in the ocean. Some passerby's tried to reach the man and drag him from his car, which had all but submerged, but all help came too late. The police are investigating the case, but have little to go by, other than that the man seemed to be driving in the general direcion of Pensacola. The police are asking for help from the community in gathering all matter of objects that have seemed to have floated away from the car. These objects seem to be mostly alcoholic beverages like vodka and distatstefully flavoured potatosnacks. How the police thinks that this 'evidence' will help them solve the case is just as mysterious as the motivations that have driven this fine specimen of a man to his untimely death. More as it comes in.
Now there's a game that was made for stereoscopic 3D. I had been thinking of playing throught his again for a while now, seeing as I set up the GC again underneath the TV a couple of months back. Might be I'll pick it up for 3DS instead, although I'll miss the bumpmapping. LM was the first game i ever played that had bumpmapping.

EG just posted a feature called Games really need to fall out of love with Lovecraft

Is this true? Ubisoft employs people with blue hair?

Florida people ok?

I don’t know, heading towards panama and Pensacola. We have family there. Our schools are closed tomorrow.
Edit: I see it’s moved from Pensacola.
You’re actually five to six hours from this, right?
Yeah, maybe a little closer if I could drive straight into the ocean to it.
