It’s good to complain though because it’s how shit gets done. This is a win for both gamers and developers in general.

Eurogamer has a feature on Sony's sudden change of mind, stating that Eurogamer had been in contact with a lot of developers on the matter and that a lot of developers, even big ones like EA and Tencent, had started asking for cross-platform play themselves.  I'd imagine that this would have had a large impact as well.

Did you see the story about Bethesda having no intention of adding cross play to Fallout 76, even though they blamed Sony originally? I thought that was pretty hilarious.

Not surprising at all. I know that some have been public about wanting but no doubt there were more asking Sony to implement it more quietly behind the scenes. Developer requests probably had more of an impact then the actual gamers.

Well to be fair Fallout 76 has been in development for quite some time so there really would have been no reason to develop the game with crossplay for all systems in mind. However like most everything else if demand is strong enough then I’m sure Bethesda will find a way to implement it.

I just beat Yoku's Island Express yesterday.  The endboss was the most underwhelming final boss in games I have ever witnessed.  On the plus side, the credits listed a 'Director of Fun', which nearly makes up for the low note the game ended on.
