Archie was talking about tittyfucking?
Lost my train of thought for a moment.
This weekend, I got to play four glorious hours of God of War. I think I can easily say it’s my favorite of the series. I’m hoping to have more time to play in June.
So Boston is out of the playoffs now. How very unfortunate. How very unfortunate indeed.
God of War just keeps getting better. This game is so much better than the older titles it's ridiculous.
FUUUUUUUUUCK!!!
SUPER MARIO MAKER LEVELS:
LOL Nintendo online "service". Total garbage
Cloud saves... old ass NES games online... voice chat, through a phone app... and the ability to play the same games you play now online for free but you get to pay for it now!
At least you can do a family group so we can all split the cost of a family account.
Very strange that the online 'service' doesn't seem to automatically imply you'll need it for all games. Looks like it's on a per game basis?
Honnestly, with how litle I play Switch online these days, I might as well just opt to not get it. The fact that the €20 is account based, and not system based is the most offensive bit in my opinion. €20 is impulse buy, don't care territory. €35 is an investment.
Ah, I hate this period before E3.
The gaming news dries up. So boring.
Considering I play Splatoon 2 every damn day, I don't mind the fee at all. What worries me is that it says a compatible smartphone is required, so if I can no longer play Switch online because I own a fecking Windows phone... that is going burn hard.
I can't even use the Ebay app on this thing, it was discontinued, as was everything else. Great job, Microsuck.
Well, well, well. So Microsoft is the only one not to put cloud saves behind a paywall. The worm has turned.
Anyway the info for Nintendo’s online service is pretty meh. I like that there will finally be cloud save backups. There’s really only 3 NES games on that list that interest me but there will be more announced so we’ll see. It is kind of cool that there will be some kinds of online functionality for those games. No Virtual Console however it’s really just a name and I don’t see why companies still can’t bring there classic games to the system anyway because there’s been a lot of NEO GEO games coming out on it already on a regular basis. The fact that they’re sticking with this lousy app thing for voice chat really sucks though. Anyway there will be enough games that I’ll want to play online to make the $25 CDN a year worthwhile to me.
Yeah I was thinking that there are a ton of Neo Geo Games already on there and I think the same company has inked a deal to put even more old classics from another system on Switch too. As soon as they released the NES and SNES classic I didn't see a VC coming to Switch. I kept all my old VC games on Wii. Great collection there and I have an SDTV to play them on too. Also I'm a 3DS early adopter so I got all those free GBA and SNES games on there too. As well as a few on Wii U too.
I have the best virtual console. My PC emulator.
Seriously....the Switch's online seems worse than the Wii/Wii U era....what a joke. And let's be real, they haven't exactly done much on Switch outside of Mario and Xenoblade other than Wii U ports. They better pick up the pace because that craze is only going to last so long.
Yeah no kidding. There’s no excuse for not bringing most of the VC library to the Switch. How could they get VC so right two generations ago and now we get the shaft. Nintendo needs some non port, exclusives stat.
I can only assume it wasn't that profitable to sell the individual games or they sell better bundled. I don't think its a coincidence that Sony has also said "fuck off" to their back catalog of PS1 games and not really done much with the PS2 library. I think as much as people like to talk about getting old games, they don't usually spend money on them.
Switch online is not very exciting.
This is not an excuse, what I'm thinking is that from a business standpoint the deals they had in place to release all those games on Wii, was only for that system. And that the rights would have to be re-negotiated again with each rights owner, individually.
From a profit standpoint, I'm guessing the return wasn't that great. Personally I find the prices on some of these older games to be too high. I think cheaper prices would sell more and create more money than the prices they had them at.
Speaking of which, why is Yooka Laylee a full priced game? I was expecting a £14.99 price, not a £34.99.
