Eurogamer reviews Xenoblade 2
"The true sequel to the best-loved contemporary JRPG is unrestrained in its ambition, and the result is a chaotic kind of brilliance. "eurogamer.net impressions gamingeek
Playing Persona 5. Already put about 16 hours into it. All the enhancements aside, it still feels exactly like a Persona game. Fits like an old baseball mitt.
Oh yeah, the new Salmon Run stage is insane. The only way to cross from one side to the other is the two lifts, which means you can easily get overwhelmed on one side. We had one match where we had 1 disconnection right at the start of the session and it was literally impossible.
Okay tried the Hydra Splatling in actual battles and its a POS. No sprinkler to charge your special or act as a blocker. The splashdown is no bubble shield and anyone with a machine gun can just pick you off. The charge time is positively horrendous and because of Splatoon 2s tentamissles and no clear sight lines (even on revamped splat 1 stages) it's basically useless.
A week ago I had to have a tooth capped. Already had the root canal done. It was fine until yesterday, then slowly but surely my gums above the tooth began aching like mad.
Now I'm sitting here in agony and dentist can't see me til tomorrow. I feel like maybe punching myself repeatedly for an hour straight would alleviate the pain.

I have to have a root canal as well. They did a quick patch that will hopefully get me through the new year when my dental Plus should kick in. Dental insurance is shit.
I've been playing Shadow of War and --LOVING-- Shadow of War. Been addicted to it since it came out, delving into the online aspects and stretching out the single player to make it last as long as I could. I put the game on the 'Nemesis' **hardest**setting immediately as I wanted the Orcs to be smart, adaptive and hard to kill. I'm making this playthru count. When I first installed it, I made sure to check the settings to ensure the highest resolution was applied to take full advantage of my 4k TV and the PS Pro. I've been marvelling at how much detail is in the game and just how good it looks. Yesterday, though, I decided to go into the PS Store for this game to see when DLC expansions were going to be made available to extend the life of this already great game...
...then I saw it...
There was a 'Free' 4k texture expansion (26 gigs) you needed to download to make the game PS Pro ready. I had no idea...! Four-fifths of the way through the game and --NOW-- I find the key to making it look as good as it could!
If it's any consolation, I --DID-- finally download it and it really blew my mind! The game is a stunner! I highly recommend it with or without a Pro...
...but if you do have a Pro, just remember to DL the texture pack!

So Thanos looks weird, they've whitewashed Warlock Silver Surfer out of the story. There apparently aren't any cosmic Gods. Most of the action now happens on Earth and focuses on the Avengers. And somehow the Guardians of the Galaxy now feature.
He's also a masochist.
This weekend, I was on vacation and the only thing I played was Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. What about you campers?
Played Mario Odyssey.
Only have literally 2 or 3 moons left per world. I may have to resort to a guide but I am holding off. Tried out the Hydra Splatling in Splatoon 2.
They have attempted to mimic the set from the original game but without the sprinkler and bubbleshield it has significant weaknesses.
So you are left with two imperfect weapon sets for the heavy splatlings.

Played some Gears of War 4 multiplayer, some LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga, and some Minecraft this past weekend.

Thanks I appreciate that. Tooth pain is nasty. Makes me think of Tom Hanks in Castaway when he takes his own tooth out with an ice skate.

Agreed.
Very much just pulled an Aspro.
