That's what I'm figuring too. But Nintendo also seem intent on getting as many Wii U games on the Switch as possible, so who knows.
Oculus VR destroyed evidence regarding Rift's creation
By the way has anyone been keeping up with the whole Zenimax/Oculus/Zuckerburg/Carmack/Luckey fiasco? Jesus Christ, what a shitstorm. In a nutshell it looks like Facebook was in such a hurry to acquire Oculus that they didn't do their proper diligence when buying them, Carmack pretty much fucked himself by not separating his work, and Luckey and everyone else at Oculus were a bunch of douchebags.
I haven't been following that whole Oculus fiasco real close or anything but I have been peeking at the odd bit here and there and it sure sounds like a shitstorm indeed.
Found this online:
I was worried that the only way of charging these things would be by leeching juice from other battery driven devices, ie. the Switch or charging 'grip', which would then heavily impact the battery life of the main unit. This seems like an elegant solution and also heavily reduces my concerns regarding the Switch's battery life.
hmmmm
RE7: Shattered Memories.
No word on an XCX port yet. I'd prefer a Xenoblade Wii HD remaster like Twilight Princess HD.
And so we come to the burning question regarding future Switch sales: will you be getting the industrial looking all-grey bundle, or the suave blue/orange combo?
Personally I'm leaning towards the coloured joycons, because you can get 2 matching pairs and that'll make things easier when scurrying about looking for who needs which controllers in multiplayer. I'd stick 2 blue or 2 orange ones to the pad though, one of each just looks awkward.
They have a 20 hr battery life, so as long as you connect them to the switch and leave it in its dock overnight, everything should be fine. You would only be able to charge 1 set of joycons at once of course.
I've ordered the red/blue set. I can't decide whether I like the idea or not. For a start the different colours work neatly with the whole Switch concept. But then it somewhat annoys me that I have two different colours and not two of the same colour. I wish they would also have a coloured Switch dock too. But it seems that decals will sort that out quite easily. I'm lucky that Switch is landing a few weeks before my birthday, I'll be able to get a couple of extra docks as gifts.
If you connect 2 batteries, the stronger charge will always start charging the weaker charged one. I'm not saying it will be much of an issue, but I'm assuming that Nintendo kept this in mind when putting forth it's batterylife, in that the 2.5 hours minimum would be when playing with joycons that are running low. And yes, you'd only be able to charge one pair. I was thinking of getting a charging grip, but since I don't know how those operate just yet (internal battery, or teethered to the dock), I prefer this solution.
Aonuma, Miyamoto talk about another new Zelda on Switch
“Mr. Aonuma is the producer for Zelda. If we don’t create another one, he’s going to be out of a job, that should be his motivation for another one"
LMFAO this is probably my favourite Miyamoto quote of all time. Aonuma was in the interview with him
I'm watching the Gamesradar video hands on with Switch.
They say the HD rumble feeling is "meticulous" they say that it's "amazingly clever" and described the ball counting game. They say "at no point do you ever feel there aren't balls inside the controller" and that on their own the 1, 2, Switch games might not sound like much but together they are pretty great.
There is also a game where you point the Ir camera to your mouth and fake eat. And the camera can tell how fast and how many times you are chewing.
Now watching the Videogamer video on Switch.
LOL the chat is with boss and worker and the boss is telling the worker off because he was first in and instead of going for Zelda he headed straight for Sonic Mania. He then says that the Sonic Mania booth was "fucking empty for most of the day"
They say it looks and feels like a Megadrive game and is "really good". WTF is this, he's talking for about 10 mins on Sonic Mania. Vader, this video is for you.
WTF, Super Bomberman video looks good? If this was cheaper it might be worth a buy just looking at it.
Has Been Heroes graphics are barely SNES standard, that shit is going to flop hard.
Damn, this guy has no idea what he's talking about with Splatoon. He saw literally nothing new? Every special is new for a start.
Arms, says its more advanced Wii Boxing. Very tactical and great.
He doesn't like 1, 2 Switch. He says you could almost feel the milk coming out with the HD rumble.
^ Unskipable cutscenes on Switch confirmed!
There's a lot of shit coming out over the next few months...back in the 90's we would never see all this early in the year. Resident Evil 7, Yakuza 0 next week. Halo Wars 2 and Horizon in Febuary. New Nintendo system and new Zelda along with Mass Effect 4 in March. Nasty.
I thought I heard them say you could charge them by usb cable like any controller. Maybe not.
I'll be getting the all-grey bundle myself, I prefer that colour aesthetic.
A local retailer is listing Rabbids Invasion for release on the 17th of March, and Assassins Creed Egypt for the 24th? Then again, they've got Skyrim marked for the 17th as well, and that's been confirmed for 'autumn'.
