The guns are another story, but coating arrows is not too difficult of a process. You just have to remember to refresh your stock at the store in between missions. Managing gun ammo is a genuine pain in the butt. That is why I stay away from them as a rule.


The only real drawback to the bow is the lack of damage output. At best they do half of what any standard melee weapon is doing. Sometimes not even that. When you go against a strong armored monster, you can run up against the time limit very easily if you are not using a lot of extra tricks like bombs and such. That is why I have a gun blade that I use about half of the time.

I can roll out of harms way just fine with my hammer unsheated, same with a hunting horn or Charge Blade?  All while sporting more durable blademaster gear.  As for the damage output, I looked into the bow when I started playing MH3U, it's tied to your relative distance to the monster you're hunting.  So for the most effective use, you need to be orbitting around the monster at a specific distance, which just didn't seem like much fun to me.

If this is true, I just don't get why Nintendo would bench the Metroid Prime developers from making more Metroid. I get they dont sell that well, but they took the series off to Team Ninja and then no follow up.

This sounds a lot more promising, not blanket support but on a game by game, studio by studio basis. I can see NX getting some action games from them like Wolfenstein or Doom.

But who's going to play Doom on the NX over the other consoles? Unless its an exclusive spin off.

Yup, very disappointing. I don't even think they did much upgrading to it either. It was the same thing that they did recently with the Marvel Ultimate Alliance as well. A real shame because I certainly would have purchased those games again if they had done a better job sprucing them up and charged a little less for them.
