Digital Foundry - Nintendo 3DS vs New 3DS
It tells us that the initial launch hardware was unbalanced, that the GPU was left severely under-utilised, owing to a severe lack of CPU resourceseurogamer.net gamingeek
The Super Nintendo is the most overrated gaming system of all-time. Outside of its dozen or so high quality "must play" games the library wasn't that stellar. A lot of the systems games have aged like poo. It still is a good console but people say it rivals the Playstation 2 which is insane. Personally I found the SNES to be the weakest of the three main consoles at the time. The Sega Megadrive had games that ran very well with an insane big library of quality titles. The PC Engine was great to as it was like an extension of the NES arcady roots and the CD-ROM really pushed what games could do at the time. The Super Nintendo was great for blockbuster hits but that was about it. The games also ran very poorly on it as well.
If Wii u is not last place on your list then your list is trash. It's not a debate, there is no argument, Wii u is the worst console Nintendo ever made. Even Nintendo is throwing it in the trash.
1 and 2 have to be NES or SNES, it's debatable. The rest doesn't matter, that you can put as you like. For me I'm an NES guy, is the most important console of all time. It's the reason the majority of us are here, are gamers.
I don't know how some of you don't rate the N64 better. It ushered in 3d gaming (most of the ps1's best games weren't true 3d like the n64's) had a handful of absolutely incredible games every year, solidified the FPS genre on consoles with Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and the Turok series, and gnerally just gave me a hard on.

Its hard because it has some of the greatest games ever made. It madde such huge advances in gaming. But take away that layer of greatness and everything behind it is kind of meh. Also I didnt have one so that makes it hard to appreciate it.
The Genesis was so overrated. The colours looked so dull when compared to the SNES and the sound on the system was like farts in a tin can. The SNES blew it away with a larger colour palette, markedly better sound capabilities, transparency effects, and of course mode 7 effects. The list of comparable games was so much better for the SNES. Mario over Sonic, Final Fight over Streets of Rage, Final Fantasy over Phantasy Star. Sooooooooo many games were better on the SNES like Sparkster, Contra, Castlevania, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, etc. The SNES had a huge list of fantastic exclusive games as well like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, Breath of Fire, Legend of the Mystical Ninja, Demon's Crest, the list goes on and on.

Oh screw this, Genesis had so many awesome games, such a wide variety of stuff. Lets talk sports, what system created John Madden Football the greatest sports game franchise of all time, GENESIS. Which one had awesome boxing games, GENESIS. Which one is where EA became the company we know now, GENESIS. Which had World Series Baseball, GENESIS. NHL93, GENESIS.
Our Mortal Kombat had blood, SNES had a pussy version of the biggest game in the world at the time. Streets of Rage shits on Final Fight, thats not even a contest. Genesis had Ecco the Dolphin, Shinobi, Vectorman, Golden Axe, X-men, the GOOD Aladdin, incredible disney games like the illusion games. It was the action console. Yeah Mario is king, but sonic was right there and it was 4 sonic games to 2 mario games. Plus blast porcessing!!! Slow as SNES.
What the fuck is this shit^^^??? SNES had Mode fucking 7? That rotational shit was cool! Castlevania IV! Star Fox! DKC series! Act raiser! Final Fsntasy! Earthbound! Super Punchout! Super Metroid! Super Star Wars series! F-Zero! Better looking Street Fighter! Better looking Mortal Kombat(even without the blood!), Super Mario RPG! Plus, those two Marios destroy any other Sonic game at the time.
There was a place for Genesis, there was a place for SNES. MK was better on Genesis, but MKII on SNES blew that away by far!
Loved the Phantasy Star series, but Genesis' RPG line-up couldn't hold a candle to SNES.
Sonic started to go a little downhill after 2 and Mario just got better and better.
Genesis was more mature and edgy. [Technosoft] SNES had Nintendo and solid adventure games.
Genesis had the SEGA CD eventually (and the 32X)... SNES didn't try to expand (for better or worse) but they had the FX chip!
At the very least when they made a game from a series for either one, they made them somewhat different games. [TMNT, Sparkster, Tiny Toons, Contra, CastleVania, Batman and Robin, Disney games, etc.]
Genesis had a better variety, but SNES games seemed to be a bit better quality.
You know why the SNES is ultimately far far superior to the Genesis? The controller. 3 buttons vs. 6. Playing Street Fighter II and even Mortal Kombat on the Genesis was ridiculous because you were playing a gimped version unless you shelled out money for a better controller.

Both were great!
Leo...why must you be a man of reason? VGPress group hug?
...but I forgot to pack my thong!
That's why we are covering you.
Genesis does what Nintendon't.
Super Nintendo is what Genesisn't.
