You know the real thing is going to be of similar insanity.
It better be, or the whole of the internet will feel it's too mundane in comparision with this fake and the NX will launch with zero hype.
I'm a bit miffed that it turned out to be a fake. There was something incredibly humourous about having a controller that looked so far out and was exactly like the illustration in the patent. You could just imagine Myamoto, Iwata and Kimishima sitting around a table drinking saké and laughing about how they leaked their controller themselves and how no one would believe that the final product would look like that.
It's weird that I read within 2 hours that this was a hoax... but no-one else did.
That's not the NX, not even close. I got to see it a few months ago when I was in Kyoto. Fuck I may as well show you guys, just dont link it out...
This is just the controller, not the actual hardware.
This is the game I played. It's hard to make out, but basically, they were able to show 128 Marios on the same screen AT ONCE.
It's pretty powerful. No wonder Microstation are running scared with their XB2/PS4.5 plans.
Here is the hardware. AGAIN, DO NOT LINK THIS OUT.
Seems like the handheld/console hybrid rumours were true after all!
wtf
EDIT: Also guys the black version of the NX controller was also confirmed to be fake along with the white one which was confirmed earlier.
So did anyone actually read the Playstation 4K digital foundry article? It sounds pointless, like they are chasing a dead end. It won't even be able to run 4K games. Not only that they say that the process of changing fabrication methods as a means to increase computational power is reaching a dead end and that future machines will see ever diminishing returns.
And that this is why both MS and Sony seem to be moving towards a model of releasing mid-gen or even yearly hardware models that are only moderatey revised/improved.
Well, it's a boring Good Friday with no new gaming news.
Time to kill then check out my thread:
Alice: "How long is forever?" White Rabbit: "Sometimes, just one second.”
And to look at the prototype Dreamcast controllers:
Yeah, I read it, posted it here, and commented on it stating exactly the same thing you're saying now.
DF is saying it'll most likely be nothing more than a 'faster' PS4, with some additional features to support 4K telly's, like compatability with HDR and 4K upscaling. It could work out for Sony in a New3DS kind of way, where they'll slowly fase out the original, but you're really not missing out on much if you don't upgrade. Imagine a PS3 slim with benefits.
They say even the memory needed would be too expensive. Sounds like a complete waste of time.
Carrie Fisher talks about 'romantic' relationship with Harrison Ford
Wow, so the wife of a Game of Thrones Producer threatened him over the Jon Snow situation. Demanding pictures of him with Jon Snow hair and.... well you know...
And said that if the producer didn't (you know what) in the new season then he could go be gay with the actor i.e divorce etc.

I like big butts and I cannot lie.....
How about everyone just read the books eh. Stupid telly series.
Ok, so I'm listening to the latest GU podcast, as I tend to do, and out of nowhere, when I least expect it: I hear PhilFogg utter the most outlandish of falsehoods. I was taken aback, aghast that someone so talented (admittedly, in rather niche area's) would utter such nonsensicalities. I mean really, my own pivot had been lambasted beyond the point of being a coherent expression.
I litterally paused the podcast once I had picked myself up from the floor, where I had fallen as a result of my suprise at this inconcievable whopper.
He said chipboard is, in fact, ... Wait for it... MDF! Oh, the inhumanity! I'm sure anyone here would be able to tell him that chipboard is NOT in any way MDF, but is oriented strand board, OSB in short.
...
Ok, I'm going to have a drink now, sit down a bit, and then, once I feel well enough, listen to the remainder of the podcast.
I mean Jeebus, MDF...
edit: oh, and he also stated that the Oculus Rift will be more expensive than the HTC Vive. Which obviously isn't correct either. But hey, we're all only human.
Nintendo Was Wrong To Turn Its Back On The Wii Remote nintendolife.com editorial
No, they weren't. Its ok as a secondary pad in SOME games, but makes others control worse than normal. I know so many people who straight up HATED that controller. Even if they liked some of the games on the Wii, they hated the pad. Again, people just want a normal pad.
Wiimote for life. I am glad VR will take motion control to the next level.
Dreamcast pad was fine except it needed a second analog stick and a select button. And it could have used two extra face buttons to offset the lack of bumpers, as these pads here show.
