That sure is nice.
I might try out the Pokken Tournament demo. Tha game looks nice, but there's something about cutesy pokemon brawling it out in 3D on my large telly that just doesn't sit right with me.
Me too.
Don't know anything about it yet other than box art.
SOLD!
So I've got a few games in the rotation right now.
Overall its a very solid game, no surprise. But, there's also NO suprises...which makes it feel pretty by the numbers. Its just a very pretty DKC game. Seems to have the same kind of slightly annoying difficulty level as DKCR...I just hope the end isn't as bad. That game pissed me off way too much at the end.
I have no idea what a typical Pokemon game is like...in fact when I was younger I used to get annoyed at the sight of Pokemon. However, this game is a solid fighting game that plays just like Tekken. There's something hilarious about watching these characters beat the shit out of each other. How about a Fire Emblem Tournament?
I've put this one off for ages, so I said hey why the fuck not? I really like it....it has a dark vibe & the whole class system/school environment gives it a very Persona-like style. Different from the usual modern FF, but it feels fresh.
With DOOM 4 around the corner, I said hey....let's go the fuck back to DOOM 3! Honestly, I didn't like this one that much back on the XBOX. This was one of the few games back then that could put me to sleep at a normal hour when I shouldn't be sleeping. Not what you want from DOOM. But I did finish it...and sometimes after a long period goes by you can appreciate something more than you used to. We'll see. It certainly had great production values. Still holds up well.
I am in the middle of Twilight Princess, Sky temple is next. I started amnesia for the first time. And I started rise of the tomb raider.
I am in a war with smerlus on the other site because he thinks nearly all "survival horror" game is better than old RE games which is just absurd. So I gave my amnesia impressions and explained why so far it's not that great:
Further amnesia impressions, only like 2 hours in. The grand majority of the time I have done nothing but walk around and look for stuff. I guess I have to stay on the light and manage my oil and candles but there is so many that it is never an issue. For a good hour and a half nothing happens, creepy atmosphere but it’s a bunch of parlor tricks, no real danger.
There was some locked doors and passages, like the classic use acid to burn creature obstacle which has been done to death in RE. Here we had to find four ingredients and then the game just has you put them in a device and press a button. At least RE makes you think by needed to look at notes, figure out which ingredients need to be added in which order to get the right combination, so an actual puzzle. So already RE has better puzzles than this game. That may change, I am at some complicated level puzzle thing so maybe that one will require actual thinking to solve.
So during the boring trek through the empty mansion I entered a flooded hallway and all of a sudden splashes were seen in the water coming at me, wtf?! Boom dead. A message says stay out of the water. Now I am in a section where I need to jump from crate to crate, throw limbs to distract this invisible monster and open doors while this thing is coming at me. Where was this game? Actual gameplay, an actual scenario where I am engaged. That was awesome. And it lasted all of 5 minutes, back to exploring an empty house.
That’s the difference right there between something like this and old RE. If you are not engaged or paying attention every second in that game you can die. Every single room has some purpose to it, some gameplay situation for the player to over come. You enter a room and there are 5 enemies between you and the item you need but you have 3 bullets left and half health, what do you do? The entire game is filled with that, there are very few passive moments. The key to great gameplay is engaging the player, making sure the player is always doing something, managing something, at risk to lose a life, not just meandering around looking for an object in an empty world.
If the rest of amnesia is more like the water segment then it will be a really good game, if it’s mostly just walking around doing nothing well then it’s obviously not a good game.
I ended up picking TPHD up. I have APrime so every new game is like $12 off, so I said fuck it....the case is too nice to pass on. Will play at some point. I noticed this one they allow you to play with the Pro Pad. I found this funny because Wind Waker forces you to use the Gamepad. Nintendo themselves can't make up their mind on whether the Gamepad is needed or not.
I was going to get Tomb Raider on PS4, but then I was like wtf my PC is killer why not just get it on Steam. So I go look it up and of course now its not on sale. So I'll wait awhile. No sense in paying $60 for it at this point.
The graphics in RoTR is blowing my mind.
So Apple announced a new Iphone and Ipad Pro...
Any Apple fans in here?
Good evening gents.
200 hrs into XCX and I'm pretty much finished with everything.
What's the drawing? Is that... Kirby?
That image was found on Miyamoto's workstation.

Woo hoo! Only two weeks until Quantum Break.
I like their iPhone and iPad but I wouldn't say that I'm a fan. Don't really care much for their home computers though.
Awesome game music.
Gluttony Fang
Lust SIN
Awakening the Chaos
Gale
They make solid products at times. I used to LOVE their laptops despite them costing $1,000+.
One of the site's forefathers.
The manliest of the most manly awesome game music, now with lyrics.
