Well, since I'm stocked for a year, maybe I'll give them a try next year.
Electronic for me, I have thick hairs and every time I use a razor I get cuts everywhere. In fact today a friend gave me a real shave with one of those barber shop blades, he said my hair is too hard, I got some cuts. I always have some 5 o'clock shadow, whatever.
I didnt care for the touch screen controls; Id much rather play the NES one instead.

How about those razors that are in the Brett Favre commercial? $20 for a years supply. I can't remember the name, but I thought about trying them. I Usually use a Gillette Sensor Excell but like you guys said, the blades are insanely expensive. This is the only razor that works well on my face....I usually cut the shit out of my neck with most blades.
I have a pretty thick beard and anytime I've tried to use electric razors, they pull the shit out of the hairs. Maybe the newer age ones work better. I won't even go into the details of trying to shave my nuts.
The amiibos are generation 2, much better detail and quality.
You guys are using the wrong electric shavers then When I found the right one I never had to manual shave again. I use a wahl that cuts both long and short hairs. It has a rectangular double head with a dip in the middle for a third blade which catches the long hairs. Unlike all other electric razors it doesn't pull at the hairs and make things uncomfortable. It's so comfortable and shaves so close I basically never need a manual razor again and I consider it as one of the best things I've ever bought. It's on amazon and got a fuckton of great reviews. Think it was called the Wahl Ultima or Ultimate.
Also it has a quick charge feature, charge for 5 minutes for a 5 minute shave in an emergency.

It probably pulls because you've left it too long between shaves. If you know your cut off point you can manage it. I can go about 5 days without shaving, any longer and it would pull a little yeah. Thankfully my wahl also has an extendable razor on the back that can trim your longer hairs before you start a main shave.
I buy Bic disposable razors. A bag of ten is like 3 euros each one lasts me ages. I shave about every other day. Works out a hell of a lot cheaper than buying Gillete bladeheads. Plus they keep finding a new gimmick every few months to make you need a new machine and even more expensive blades. I quit those many years ago.
Never had a shave at a barber's with that cut-throat blade. The sight of it makes me nervous. Couldn't have anyone coming near my face and throat with that thing.

I bought that one several years ago after your recommendation. I used it a couple of times before I managed to cut myself very badly with it. It basically chipped the bit of skin that separates one's nostrils. It hurt like a motherfucker and took ages to heal. Hence, I never used that razor again.

Wait wtf? Why would you shove the razor up that high? You're supposed to stretch your top lip down.
Checked out the Newest version of my Wahl, the Ultima on amazon. £50?? I paid half that. The new model has plastic guards/guides so what you can do is use the guide first to trim down long hairs safely, then take them off and complete a closer shave.
