get with times Leo! This shit is known for ages now. The japanese version had it also.It is only applicable for the disk version. When you download the game the 'patches' are non existant.
Bit miffed that Zelda TP is coming with a Wolf Amiibo, especially after the cool statue that came with WW. I've never been fan of the wolf design, would much rather have gotten Zant or hooded Zelda. And while Amiibo's are all fine and dandy, they hold nothing on a nice statue twice the size.
We are now recoding Game under podcast and have a key insight on twightlight princess no-one else has picked up on.

XenoBlade Chronicles X has 10 Gigs of Downloads...
We knew about this a while back. Apparently they are not required, the game can just run off the disc. They come in separate map packs which are each much smaller than 10gb and you can just install the ones you want for a more seamless open world. Without them the game runs the same but with more pop up and such.
Now there's some blatant click-baiting if I've ever seen one!
It's not any different from GTAV requiring an install and still using the disk. It's just a way of pulling data faster into the game by combinging the HDD and disc drive. At least here it's optional.

I'll probably download the map packs but then W101 needs to go. The one thing about Digital games is I always forget I actually have them.
It is not the same.
Requiring a HDD install is why I never picked up GTAV as I have a core 360 with a faulty HDD. I also never picked up the Oblivion expansion for the same reason, even the retail disc required an install.
XCX can be played without an install.
Also this is boss.

From a technology standpoint, it's exactly the same thing.

I just downloaded the Xenoblade update. As it turned out, I didn't have enough free space pretty much thanks to New Super Mario Bros U. which I forgot I had. But then I remembered I have a spare thumbdrive with 30gb on it, so problem solved. Funny thing with Wii U though, I have a huge 1.5tb external HDD that I planned on using on the U and the fucking system wouldn't let me use this particular one for some reason, so I ended up hooking it to the Xbone instead which took it like a champion. But the U has no issues with a crappy little thumbdrive. Oh Nintendo....
This Xenoblade update makes me wonder...what is the point? Why make this optional? I'm sure the game runs much better with the memory access.
This is the first time I've turned my Wii U on in a long time. IDK...this console has turned into such a disappointment for me. I just expected more. Looking at my Wii U library, the last game I bought was Bayonetta 2. Sad. I really should have held off on buying this console until, well...now. Xenoblade would have been the perfect time to jump in. Hell, even the eShop page looks like its half of the same stuff they were promoting 3 years ago. The virtual console is a joke.
I'm so done with the early adopter shit anyway, in terms of all consoles. Should have waited for Halo 5 on Xbone...and with PS4 should have waited until at least Destiny. The only way I would consider buying the NX is fucking Metroid Prime 4 on day 1, done up in full on epic Zelda-level glory. If they launch with something like Zombi U again and not much else on the horizon....they can lick my balls.

Well I've downloaded the Xenoblade Chronicles X data packs so I'm all set to go when the game comes out. I have about 5.4 GB left on my Wii U.
I have 16 GB left on my Wii U before downloading the data packs.

I have real numbers not bullshit numbers from MS. MS must have included the price of every thing with a halo logo on it to reach that number. Halo SOLD under a million at retail in the US that is a major collosal epic failure. Over 2 million less sales than other games.
