Any sane man is.
As much as I am looking forward to the new Doom I'm praying to god that it's about Fallout 4 although both would be great as well.

Here we go - Mekazoo (pronounced Mecha Zoo). Looks like Sonic the Hedgehog with some Donkey Kong swinging. Once upon a time I'd say "SONIC CLONE," but hell it's not like Sega knows what to do with Sonic anymore. This works for me.
Dude... I bet this was awesome.
Well too bad. It's $40 dollars. You'll need $39 more.

Oops, didn't read the final category (that being no score). Which is fitting...
If a 10 point rating is a scale, then that is a scale. In the average 10 point scale, not all 10 points actually cover an equal area of the spectrum with how they're used. 7-10 on most sites are even and quantifiable, below that the relationship between 1-6 compared to 7-10 is completely nebulous. Certainly no less nebulous than what is described above.
Is it just me, or is the combat in Lightning Returns a bit too hard? I mean I've had a hard time with just the regular fights, nevermind the bosses. It got me so frustrated that I started over on easy (because they don't let you just switch mid game like most games do..that would be too convenient) because I just don't have time to deal with this shit. Too many games to play to be frustrated.
It tends to follow the school model, where 7 is average, 5-7 is is passable but underwhelming, and below 5 doesn't really matter because it means you fail regardless of how badly.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileI would raise 5 to 6, but otherwise agree with your observation.
I'll answer my own goddamn question; Its not just me:

Ellie has been gone for a while, but I did not hear about Bramwell. That sucks! He was the best one!.
As for their change of score, it is better than a pretend 100 point scale like Game Informer has, where it is actually a 3 tiered system where 7 = Sucks 8 = Buy it because we are owned by GameStop and 9+ = No, really, Buy It.
The thing about that it, even after reading it twice I stil for a third and fourth time mis-read the second line. Humans are too-smart for their own good.
I think they left with only a month, maybe 2, between them. Ellie had been on leave due to pregnancy and whatnot earlier though.
Yeah, maybe in the end the change to the scoring system isn't that big of a deal. Their editorial explaining why they did it does make some sense. Still, a numerical value is instantly recognizable to all, while people who are new to the site might not understand exactly what the labels stand for. I think a big part of my grieve also stems from the fact that the labels themselves are so in your face. It looks too much like an achievement, or some pre-school labeling system. They should really redesign them to be smaller, maybe even some pixel-art or something. I also don't like the fact that some games will receive no label at all. They could at least have made a grey label with a big MEH! inside or something.
What do you get when you cross 2-D Sonic with DKC?
Wait, wait, I know this one...
I am playing Evoland again, hopefully this time to completion.
It's funny how when you get to the 3D rendition of a RPG it still sucks (everything slows down and basically sucks. At least they quickly move onto the textured polygonal world (which still sucks, but slightly less).
Anyone enthousiastic for Ubisoft's Grow Home? When I first heard about it, I couldn't be bothered, but I must admit it looks spectacular in its own way. I'm not going to try and explain it here, but I'm getting a certain Mario vibe from this in that it's a game where different mechanics and tools work in tandem to create oppertunities for fun, instead of creating scenario's.
