Anyone else bought the Mario Kart 8 DLC? Cool shit. I've been playing it all morning. I really like how on the Hyrule Castle course, they changed the coins to Rupees.
I sold MK to buy Smash.
I'm enjoying it too. Really like excite bike course. It also gave me reason to go back to playing MK8 and I'm liking it even more so than before. I even tried my hand at online multiplayer. It was actually pretty cool and I'm someone who never plays competitive online multiplayer games

It's pretty good value for DLC I think. In Europe you get both packs (pre-order the second strictly speaking) for 11 pounds and that gets you a total of 4 new cups (ie 16 new tracks) and I think 6 new characters plus new customization options etc. The 8 new tracks in the first DLC pack are on the whole a lot of fun.
They haven't fixed battle mode though. It's still unplayable as it's played on the racing tracks rather than in circular "arenas"

Eurogamer is as much a home to me as this place now is, or Gamespot or the VU once were. It's the site I discovered first, even before Gamespot, and always enjoy reading. I just hope that they manage to maintain both their witt and high level of quality after losing both Tom and Ellie in the same year
